I have been magnet fishing for years and I want to give you a few pointers. I LOVE going to boat ramps and docks! I go to local public fishing areas about every 6 months with a magnet like yalls, another one that's double sided and one with a grappling hook. All 3 have their own 100 foot ropes with carabeeener snaps on both ends to secure to the magnet and something OTHER than my body. The grappling hooked one is for hooking and hauling up stuff submerged that can't be hauled in on the magnet. I have hauled in ALOT of cool items, but when I get hard bodied fishing lures I just replace the hooks and roll out!

i have noticed on some videos that I have watched of this type of "fishing" when able, drop it from the top of the bridge and not from the bank. I know on some roads you can not stand on the bridge and drop it, but where you can you should do that too. :) @14:20 Nice call April. Just listening to April talk reminds me so much of my Aunt Anna, you two sound alike. 😄

So cool doing new stuff. Awesome video. Magnet fishing actually rocks and you 2 did amazing. When you go again bounce the magnets off the bottom. You should feel the metal snap onto the magnet as it attaches. I believe what you got under the deer bridge was a "universal" putty knife. That belt buckle is about $30. Excellent find. The metal "scissors" are tin snips. The chisel is a wood working chisel.

Those buckles have a bottle opener on the back side. I don’t think they make them anymore. And those metal cutty thingys are tin snips. Definitely a different video from the others you have done. And I’m here for it. This was fun to watch. Just a suggestion, don’t know what your budget is, but I think y’all would enjoy metal detecting. And you don’t have to be near water. But detecting a beach is fun. And can be rewarding $$$. Just a thought. Great video. Keep it up.

I've been magnet fishing for almost 3 and 1/2 years and I use paracord cuz it's a little bit stronger easier to work with I use three strands and I do a standard braids just to make sure I have enough and I have instead of tying off I have a clip on the end of my rope so I can just clip it off to somewhere but instead of coiling the rope do a fold technic and when throwing just a 1 loop toss letting the weight of the magnet do the work for you and when bringing it back jig it like a jig across the bottom to free up anything that stuck in the mud and a slow steady pull not fast
