When working for BR if a copper said there was a chance of a bomb around, chance of getting blown up, we didn't need telling twice. We went straight away, in fact its the only time i took a passenger service train out early, due to a bomb threat.

If people like you don't do it for FREE, then surely the local council should be footing the bill to do it. As I can't see that happening in a month if Sundays, just ignore anyone that says you can't. If itbever gets to court (which I'm sure it wouldn't) the council would be made to look such fools that they'd probably end up paying you to get it done. They obviously wouldn't want such negative consequences, especially as you've donated so many artifacts to their museums.
