My photography journey started with portraits, eventually experimenting with my own self-portraits largely to build my confidence and get as comfortable as my subjects and their looks. I've recently been really interested in astro and landscapes as unlike portraiture, I feel like the settings and scenes motivate me to adventure on the weekends outside my 9-5 job with the added bonus of seeing beautiful settings in our own land with my eyes as well as through the lens. It just seems so totally different to have no subject other than the sky or the landscape that helps give me a appreciation of what it means to be human. I'd be traveling in West of Brisbane out into the dark Julia, to capture the Lyrid meteor shower one months time. The night sight feature looks amaze!

As we all know,Pixel gens has become a great smartphone camera with its camera feature packed.Pixel 4 is a step up for my photography because its portrait mode is so great in terms of great subject separation,contrast,double exposure and so on.Not to mention,personally I would say google has the best night mode which is Night Sight compared to other smartphones.I want to try the night sight feature on this device and compare it with ported gcam on other devices .Third,I am feeling excited to try the astrophotography mode on this smartphone because I want to know how well does it perform to capture astro .Hopefully,my comment is read and I wish my dream come true to have a google pixel 4 in my travel bag.oh its corona time,just #stayhome

Hello Julia, loved your intro video to the pixel. I’ve always been an iPhone Gal but lately I’ve been wanting more from the photography features. What would I shoot using the pixel4.m? - Currently in Covid19 life here in Sydney and I’m wanting to connect with my neighbors in our communal backyard. We have a huge shared green space with 13 hills hoist washing lines. Slowly as we’ve been either forced out of jobs or working from home the yard has become a point of connection for many of us (within distance). I’d love to document this period of time with portraits of my Neighbours outside in their space whether it be the hills hoist, their patch of garden, laundry or backdoor. I’m wanting to workshop this idea using mobile phone photography as I find many of my neighbors find my cameras intimidating. I’d be shooting in all different lighting conditions so convey a sense of time passed - rain, dusk, morning, twilight, midday. Thanks for the consideration :) Katherine

I think every photographer knows this feeling when they find a cute location or something really interesting they would like to capture but they don't have their DSLR with them at the moment. The first thing that comes in my mind when i got a pixel 4 is to do a self protrait session. Ive always been insecure of my face . Decades of having a bad skin ( acne) is my most downgrading part of my life. So taking pictures of myself is very hard thing to do for me. Rather I took from afar or i show my back side. Sometimes i used layer and layers of filters just to make my insecurities invisible. Maybe if i luckily won this Pixel 4, i wanna start capturing first my confidence. I am currently planning my story for the Moment Invitational Film Festival where I want to make a Mini-Documentary about how people in the Cinematography world are giving up before they even start and how their psychological mindset is affecting the ability to start filming. The pixel 4 is a great camera to travel with, it would be my go to camera for exploring a new city because it's so versatile with a wide angle and a standard "50" focal length. Been getting into cooking as well and it would be great to document my cooking journey!

I would set it up on a tripod, put on night sight with astrophotography mode Then sit in the frame shoot a flashlight, so because of the long exposure, it creates a long streak of light. Maybe add in lasers and smoke for a cool effect. I can do night mode on my regular phone but it's not long enough and doesn't have an astrophotography mode mode or OIS and it can't lock onto infinity as focal distance.

You don't even need a tripod in night mode with this phone. It doesn't really use a slow shutter so much as a quick bracketing series stitched together with AI,

Since the beginning of this year, I have been making Instagram stories daily using my iPhone 7. I wanted to prove that you didn’t need the latest device to be creative. I would love to use this phone to take more astrology photography and video (if possible). I would definitely use the Pixel 4 for both photography and videography. I go to university in the city so having a phone with such a great camera can help me avoid bringing my camera for most of the shots I want. I could also use the phone for videoing the behind the scenes of my photoshoots with my camera.

My husband and I have just started our own wedding photography business, "Kat and Harry". We would LOVE to use this phone to increase the quality of our Instagram story videos. Every wedding we attend, we film BTS snippets. We love giving our clients insights from our perspective of their big day, something instant to view while they wait for their photos to be edited. We'd also love to share tips and get our faces out there more so our future clients can get to really KNOW us. This phone would become a beneficial tool to set ourselves apart just that little bit more. It wouldn't be a one time photo/video use, it would be a game changer for our freshly established business. My friends and I are planning a roadtrip to visit some regional areas when the danger of Covid-19 has passed. I'd love to take the Pixel 4 along and see if I can go without my camera on a roadtrip! With that sort of control over the settings, I'd even be able to upload some photos along the way instead of waiting days to get back home and edit. Lots of country towns have already been badly affected by the fires and now the pandemic, so I would love to do my bit to encourage people to come back to them. Since I moved to Australia 5 years ago, one of my dreams has always been to rent a 4WD and do the west coast from Perth to Broome. I would use the Google Pixel 4 to capture the beautiful landscapes of WA, from the crystal clear waters of Coral Bay and the Ningaloo Reef to the spectacular gorges of Karijini and the red rocks of the Kimberley. But if I had to pick one thing, it would definitely be filming the sea turtles hatching early next year.

I would use the pixel 4 to record the moment my friend is going to propose to his partner. He is planning a romantic sunset location with candles on the beach, so the low light capability of this phone would work for this situation and help me to capture a moment they will never forget. Thank you and yes! Since you could see the "before" photo in the live recording on the screen, the final photos are edited with my Mountains preset in my Digital Film App (I have the beta version for the Pixel, we are going to release it for android in the next couple of weeks!)

This phone is finally something for my long trips :D I'm riding a motorcycle long routes and it will be a lot safier to take a phone with good camera with me, than bigger camera in my backpack. There are also many times when it's just faster to use a phone vs my sony a7iii and to be honest, it's a more discrete and practical shooter for street photography and candids anyway. My downtown Street with its awesome trees at night. I love my 3aXL in night mode but the camera is so slow when I try to capture photos with everything else I have running. I switched to the Pixel from a XS Max. I take a lot of photos now with my Pixel but would kill for a 4 or 4XL. the simple way is the beautiful way. During this time of lockdown around the world, I've been blessed to be able to go on my morning long walks. To bring positivity to the world, I would take daily random shots of the fauna and random wild things using the portrait mode and build up to landmarks when the lockdown eases, focusing more on people as the time goes on. It would be like a dairy account of the world as we k knot it. I would start by adding 'Lockdown Day 1' and then build up accordingly.
