@@williamashrafzadeh3701 "as cameras on phones get better" - as if DSLR and other real cameras aren't getting better?? The technology in real cameras aren't just sitting duck. It's the same arguement about smartphone performance and desktop performance.
@williamashrafzadeh37014 жыл бұрын
@@glorious240fps6 the tech in larger dlsr cameras aren't advancing at the same rate as phones are so the delta is shrinking (with the help of computational photography), just at a slow rate. Theres a limit to how many mpx you can have on a sensor. for example, we probably wont see a 50 mpx m4/3 anytime soon. So for now, we effectively have a plateau (for smaller formats, which should be obvious) which allows smartphones to catch up a bit. But mpx aren't everything and computational photography is helping smartphones a lot. dont get me wrong I hate automation but you cant deny how far. smartphones have come. Also the market for better cameras in smartphones is far bigger, leading to more R&D in those areas

If you want fair comparison you need to pull out the maximum out of both devices, make long exposure shot of that lake, shot portrait with 85 1.4, do a macro shot with dedicated macro lens, do a moon shot with telephoto.... don't just do random snap shots and call it a day.

@TheVlatko6664 жыл бұрын
I can clearly see the difference even with the KZbin compression, photo number 1 Sony contained way more detail and it's properly exposed, photo number two is even easier to tell the difference, look at how distorted buildings are on Pixel 4, they look like they are being bent inwards and blown away by wind at the same time. Whereas on Sony camera, the buildings do not have any distortion. It may not be enough for some to go with a camera, but that makes the whole difference to photographers. Plus, people forget all the time, photographers do not buy professional cameras just for the image quality, they buy them for reliability, functions, and versatility when it comes to lenses. Cameras are real workhorses, they almost never fail, and they deliver in all kinds of weather conditions, they are the AK-47s in photography world. Whereas a smartphone is the jack of all trades but master of none, sometimes images look good, sometimes they don't and if l tried to use my smartphone as a camera it wouldn't be able to keep up with my needs, not to mention the fake bokeh it creates with its stupid software, whereas cameras create buttery smooth bokeh with lenses.
