What bothers me is that if Google had just implemented most of the traits from the Pixel 5 in a proper flagship, it would really be everything most people wanted the Pixel 4 to be. @@MugenRider People barley need those super fast charging speeds. Be honest, you are charging your phone mostly overnight anyway where it has several ours of time to charge. Conclusion: faster charging barley makes any difference. It is much more important to keep the battery life over the lifespan of a smartphone as high as possible and all those super fast charging speed will significantly lower the batterylifer after just a couple of months and most people aren't aware of that and they are letting their phones charge on those super fast chargers over night for hours. And than they complain why their phones batteries dies so much quicker after a year of usage. I experienced it myself on my Galaxy S7 back than: I clearly remember that it had an amazing battery life at the beginning. It was enough to get me through almost 2 days, but i made the mistake and always used the fast charging option. After just 6 months the battery life was already so down, that i barley made it through a day with it. At that time i wasn't aware that fast charging did this to my battery and after a little bit of a research i finally realised what was going on and i immediately switched of the fast charging option in the settings. After that my battery capacity stopped dropping so insanely quickly and my phone was able to maintain it's remaining capacity for another year till i replaced it with a S9. I never used fast charging again and i never experienced such rapid drops in battery capacity since than on any of my phones. My S9 served me for 2 years and its battery is barley any weaker than it was on its first day and my current S10 that i have for 6 months is also doing fine. Fast charging = cancer for batteries.

Just got this baby! This is a great buy and there's nothing to regret. Most importantly, call quality is just fine. Nothing to worry about but of course I have had better. If you are willing to buy this phone, go and get it. The Adaptive Sound option also improves speaker quality but not the call quality. However, call quality is pretty ok. I have used in quiet, noisy environments and found nothing wrong. Thanks.

There's no way to tell the difference between the 2 chipsets without benchmarking them, let's be fair. The software is wonderful and I can't wait to use android 11. The camera is incredibly sexy and I love how little is petrudes from the phone. I managed to get a green phone and can't wait for it to arrive! Edit: I'd much rather have the extra ram than an ever so slightly better chipset ♥

10:15 Night Sight "does a fantastic job" Is this related to the Pixel 5? I have a Pixel 3a and Night Sight is just terrible. In my case it usually chooses an exposure time between 0.45s and 1s per frame in extreme low-light conditions and I always get slightly blurry photos unless I stop breathing for 7 (!!) seconds. Sometimes even the astro mode (4s per frame) turns on although I don't use a tripod. I have tried multiple Pixel 3a, they all have a terrible Night Sight mode. HDR+ enhanced is much(!) better because it chooses a much more reasonable exposure time of 1/5s per frame. This way I nearly always get sharper photos than Night Sight photos. In most cases HDR+ enhanced can produce as bright photos as Night Sight (and with similar noise performance) when you use the exposure compensation (or shoot in HDR+ raw), but Google removed HDR+ enhanced for the Pixel 4 and apparently the Pixel 5 doesn't have it either. Very poor decision. A lot of things seem to go wrong in Google's camera department recently. They even removed the white balance settings one year ago. Google ignored that more than 200 support forum users voted for bringing back the white balance presets. Instead they made the auto white balance noticeably worse, which was confirmed by multiple reviewers like anandtech.

i think i'll love this 6-incher in the hand. Smooth, yet firm, with a nice fit. It's got everything I need at a good price and will likely go on sale in November to compete against the latest Iphone, Oneplus, and Samsung. Excellent OS, with first to be released updates. Google got smart with this smartphone.

This is the only phone that came out this year I'd buy! It just to bad about no headphone jack and lack of decent sounding speakers.
