Every once in a while I think back to the days when I was playing my brothers PS1 under a blanket on a chunky tube TV, all of the equipment weighing in at like 60+ pounds. To think that now (and for a long time, really) I can play those same games while running full sprint through a field on something that weighs less than half a pound is insane in a good way. Imagine being alive 100-200 years from now and seeing what is possible.

Me and my wife who has a SWITCH are just getting into the Wii and Wii U emulation. I've just loaded CEMU on her mini PC and being PIXEL 6 owners we're happy that once we upgrade to PIXEL 7 Pro she'll be able to load up her phone with Wii/Wii U games and I'll be able to have my Vita and Dreamcast games on the go.

I'm not sure if this would be up your alley, but I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only one who'd like to see how well these new devices handle custom Android ROMs, especially a de-Googled ROM like GrapheneOS; GrapheneOS specifically _does_ have experimental but stable builds for the 7 and 7 Pro, and I'm certain that those of us who're looking at these would like to know if the added security and privacy comes at the cost of any of the benefits you saw with stock Android 13.

XDA is like a ghost town, banking and investment apps not playing well with root (I know there’s work arounds) but it’s a pain. And the roms are pretty much kangs of each other, what few there are now. The only benefit would be kernels and memory scripts.

The lower frame rate in Rare's games is one reason they were able to make better looking graphics on the N64. Less frames means you can get more polygons/higher resolution.

Rare games were hard to emulate tho In general even a couple of year old androids or as back as 2016 flagships struggle with goldeneye. I’d say the hardest easily is Indiana jones probably the most demanding n64 game But it’s been playable from a video I seen

@@silversonic1 I heard of that. They used hacks and whatever it is to run them a certain way. Which is why they can be harder to emulate on lower devices. Newest phones even mid range can emulate a lot more now.

@@silversonic1 yeah n64 is a wierd console to emulate because of certain games. Not sure if it’s fixed but even a few years ago pokemon stadium had a lot of glitches. Worked flawless in battles but the screen with showing what Pokémon to choose and the ones your battling was glitched up

Things rarely "get lost" in the mail. Someone knows what those boxes look like, and stole it. I know of someone who worked a FedEx dock, and used to find empty phone boxes in the trailers all the time. A $1200 phone is just as easy to "smuggle" out, as is a $45 burner phone.

S22 ultra I have it and it's smooth fast and way better than my pixel 6 I'd say pixel 7 isn't even much of an upgrade however I'd wait for the s23 ultra because the 8gen2 will be made by tsmc not Samsung and will be 40 or even 45 percent more power efficient

That's a tough one. They're both great phones. S22 ultra definitely looks more premium. It boils down to personal preference. The major difference will be U.I. I recommend going to your local best buy, walmart or electronics store to try out each one yourself.

I have the regular pixel 7 and every game works perfectly fine on it!!! It's crazy! Feels like a $1000 phone not a $599 phone! I had iphone 13 pro and this phone is way better! Yes they do still need Minor fixed like better battery, camera ect but it's actually very good! Ive played apex legends in the highest setting no lags and I played Fortnite but that game heats the phone up but still no lag! Wish the storage was more for the regular pixel 7

There have been thermal tests done elsewhere. The P7P does not throttle as bad as other Android flagships but this is partly due to its lower initial performance. You can expect a throttling of about 20%. It still retains 80% of its performance. In comparison, SD8G1 phones can throttle up to 50% with few exceptions. At that level of throttling, some of them actually perform worse than the P7P in sustained gameplay although they do have superior burst performance. At the end of the day, you are getting sustained performance equivalent to a SD8G1 but without the burst performance. Initial load times will likely be faster on other handsets but performance will be similar to current Android phones on the market. Unfortunately Apple is still ahead in the SOC space so sustained performance and thermals are currently better on the iOS side. But for Android, this is a decent phone.

@@Disdaine82 really but videos show snapdragon gen 1 trouncing this chip in emulation and has more compatibility. Skyline struggles with this phone with some games not even opening but snapdragon having more compatible apis is compatible with every emulator for android and having the highest performance. The apple thing is true I don’t get why eta never tests Star Wars rogue squadron 2 GameCube it runs at 60 on iPhone 13 even tho emulation isn’t really meant for iPhone and even beetle core retroarch accurate ps1 emulation runs at 60 on iPhone even upscaled which is also very impressive. so want to see how the latest can handle it on android side. Last I checked even a redmagic 6 struggled with that game to constant the 60

I did a quick look and Skyline issues look to be an issue on all Mali GPU's (ie. any Exynos/Dimensity chip). There's apparently a fix in the works. Also, if you every see a P7 beating a P7P, its the resolution. On P6, you were stuck on default setting. At least with P7P we can toggled between 1080P/1440P.

@@robmalcolm8042 I have a P7P. Previously I had a P6. I was tempted to get a P7 but 90hz in 60fps videos/gaming stutters. I got so tired of toggling Smooth Display. Also, the larger frame means better heat dissipation. Since I can toggle 1080P/1440P, performance between a P7 and P7P should be similar when settings are matched.

While you had God of War for PSP running, you mentioned that you had it running at 7x resolution... But at the same time, the banner at the top left hand corner of your screen still read 10x... They have 3 color schemes, though 1 is currently unavailable. Release set claims to be set for November 14, 2022. Maybe see if you can reach out to Turtle Beach for a review sample.

Have they enabled face detection? The lack of that was the biggest down-side of the Pixel 6 Pro with a lower battery life than I would have expected (in comparison to my old Mate 20 Pro) being the second. Otherwise the fingerprint detection is not great but it has been improved through software updates since release.

Face unlock now exists but only in well lit conditions and only to bypass the lock screen. It cannot be used for payment or banking apps. The fingerprint sensor is improved. It's faster and more accurate. However, it is still an optical sensor and not as immediate as a side or rear sensor.

Gran Turismo 4 messes up on the license tests....when you do the full lap with pace car it drops to like 1/3 speed!! Yet, races with 5 other cars works just fine

Most people I know are getting them now due to the insane promotions. I got $480 for my Pixel 6 that I paid $499 for. Best Buy was also giving $100 gift cards for buying a P7 and $200 for a P7P. After the thermal and modem issues with the P6, I don't know if they felt they needed to sweeten the deal to make everyone forget about it. Either way, I've got a P7P now and I'm happy with it. Standby time could be better... But at least I can leave 5G on without it getting hot in my pocket (P6 modem was that bad).

What the pixel 6 and 7 does better than the snapdragon variants is sustained performance. If you actually game with a phone, a 30 seconds burst with a 50% drop off in performance due to heat is not better. The pixel 7 has shown it can sustain performance and perform better in legitimate gaming sessions.

I recently got the Pixel7Pro and it's spectacular. Camera, system, the phone itself. I use Xbox Game pass and cloud gaming. I connect my Xbox OneS controller to my phone and it's amazing. I have zero lag while playing with the cloud on this phone. I haven't felt the heat on the phone rise while playing yet. Usually I play on my lunch break, about an hour, I sense no heat

Please try to emulate need for speed underground 2 for gamecube. It is very demanding i wonder if any mobile device can emulate it at 60fps. My s22 ultra struggles to emulate.

Some PS2 games run better than original, some are not playable due to running in slow motion. Metal gear solid runs poorly even in cut scenes, silent Hill origins runs 60fps at 2x resolution, there are lots of settings that may help though

Did everyone see how eta prime 3dmark wild life bench was 99% better than every other pixel 7 pro? I hate that companies send their top binned chips to tech review channels. I have never gotten a product that has benched as high as it does on a review. Love ETA 's reviews though. Keep it up.
