Aaron, Thank you for mentioning the PWM on this phone, it would be great if you could add some measurements with something like the Opple Light Mater 4 or similar device to help those who are sensitive to pwm dimming have some data to factor in before purchasing these devices. Pixel 8 Pro comes with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 which can survive a 2 meters (6 feet) drop onto concrete as proven in another KZbin video drop test. A recent Pixel 8 Pro teardown video shows that Google put copper tap atop the RAM/CPU and thick graphite layered pad on top of the battery and across the RAM/CPU layer. This should help keep the phone from overheating. Another recent Pixel 8 Pro video shows that during benchmark testing, the temperature never gets above 111 degrees Fahrenheit. Google has applied for FDA approval to measure human temperature and use the device as a medical device, so I'd say it's pretty accurate. That front facing camera looks awesome! I have been wishing that one can place the selfie stick phone holder braces right in the middle side section of the pixel pro phones without the braces pressing on any of the phone's side buttons. Scratching off this one too and going on to the next phone iteration then. …hope more will send in their suggestions. It is especially trying when working with a gimbal holder when the phone weight balance is off.

Hi Aaron I love google pixel phones apart from iPhones. Apart from other upgrades In terms of Wallpapers google has done good work by generating AI wallpapers which are more creative. Apple should also bring such feature in iOS 17. Thank you for your informative video .

I believe the sides were always aluminum. It's the Pixel Watch 2 that switched from stainless steel to aluminum. Currently have the Fold right now and my P8P and PW2 are coming tomorrow! I still have my P7P but already gave it to my daughter to use. I did a trade-in for my S22U but I think I'm going to keep it instead as I still love it and Samsung has some better things going for it vs the Pixel line.

If I didn't use an iphone it would be my 2nd choice. I always liked it and it takes good photos as well. Very close competitor to an iPhone imo. I do think for the price is reasonable too, but all phones should start out a minimum of 256gb rather than 128gb.

Here in Germany the blue Pixel 8 Pro with up to 256 GB and only the black one with 512 GB but none with 1 TB. I don’t know what the responsible employees of Google smoke, but this different treatment is ridiculous…if they plan to spread the Pixel to more people. Samsung unfortunately plays such kind of games as well…but Apple doesn’t! Here you can get every color in every country available in all SSD sizes. That kind of apartheid drove me to Apple initially. 🤦🏻‍♂️

What attracts me about android phones over iPhones is the hardware, every android phone is running the latest tech at launch while iPhone is always years behind. iPhone just got 8 gigs of ram (on the pro models) and with android its 12 now. Android has wifi 7 now and apple just recently upgraded to wifi 6e (with the pro models). Android has 8k video recording and iPhone still has 4k. Android gets the latest 5G chips at launch and apple is always a year or 2 behind. Androids have been using hole punch displays for years and apple is just now talking about adopting it for the iPhone 16 or 17. Honestly all I am waiting for is apple to adopt RCS and I'm out. Don't use FaceTime and KZbin music has more songs than apple music. I see why apple didn't want to adopt RCS, now there is no reason to stay hahaha
