Gotta be honest I was very hesitant to grab pixel 9 pro xl due to past issues with the pixels. But google has created a solid device this year I switched from iPhone 16 pro max and I have upgraded my iPhone every year since 2013. Apple has gotten stagnant in its releases and apple intelligence was the last straw from me with apple. Overall,performance is buttery smooth on pixel, no heat during regular use, and solid all day battery life is a plus for this phone. This is something for google build off of for next years pixel 10 series especially with the switch to tsmc process they can only go up from here.

At last! Somebody taking a real world stance on the Tensor G4 chip. I upgraded from a Pixel 6 Pro to the Pixel 9 Pro XL, I upgraded my wifes phone from a Pixel 6 to a Pixel 9, these phones are great, no performance issues, and yet every time I go on You Tube I see some Tech nerd telling me that my new phone isn't a flagship, or that the phone isn't going to be their phone of the year because the Tensor chip doesn't have as good a set of benchmarks as the latest and greatest Snapdragon or A18. My phone works as well if not better than any phone on the market. This chip BS is just an excuse to pull down the 2024 Phone of the Year, the Pixel 9 Pro XL. Good video.

Great review. I can't use iphone, samsung, or one plus, so it's interesting hearing that a lot of things like heat aren't better on the other side. I do wish US phones had faster charging. Pixel 8 pro was fine for me, but I was really surprised that the 9 pro stepped it up with G4. Editing photos felt so much faster for me on the 9 vs 8. I feel like pixel will start hitting stride with the 10 and 11. I'm hoping for an increase in battery life, and maybe they can fix the camera lens switching for video.

I have the Google Pixel 7 Pro and was willing to update. I like the feel of the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL feel (quality wise). However, I hate the round corners and the way it looks like the iPhone. I wish they would have kept the square look for the Pixel 9 Pro XL. I ended up getting a Samsung Galaxy 24 Ultra. This is the first time I will be off the Google platform since the Motorola Nexus 6. I will see what Google will have in 2025 for the Pixel 10.

Googles latest Tensor chip underperforms the Exynos 2400 and 2400e in SO many ways! Plus, it offers NONE of the tweaking Samsung's ONE UI has on so many levels. Yeah, pictures may be "slightly" better, but the overall experience is really NO comparison IMO. Pixel phones in no way match Samsung's 'S' series models, even the S24FE which is no slouch and STILL blows away the Pixel class phones overall. I prefer the snappy day-to-day performance when using my phone, and pictures/videos matter little to me.

I love the phone as I was able to get the pixel 9 pro XL with the Google play store's 30% off and a trade in of my pixel 8 pro. However I find so many reviewers quite hypocritical when they talk about these phones. The reason why is because if we look at the phone objectively very little has actually changed. Somehow because it looks different than before. All the reviewers are hyping the phone up when there's not much changes happening from the pixel 8 pro. Yes, somehow the other phones such as the Galaxy s24s and the iPhone 16s all get destroyed by reviewers because they look just the same as the previous year when there are actually more changes to them inside than the Google pixel 9 pro. I would've never upgraded from the pixel 8 pro if Google never offered the 30% off discount code.

The deals over here in the Netherlands are not worth it for me, the phone is still very expensive considering the hardware. I can make an omlette on my iphone 15 pro that i purchased just a couple of months back.. Just going out in sunlight this phone heats up like crazy, while charging I sometimes feel it might burn, and it drains battery equally fast... I have put it on sale since a month and there are no buyers for it .. That has never happened, iphone is losing its shine... A brand new iPhone not selling or getting like terrible offers, its a first for me .. Been using the pixel 9 pxl... And I seriously have no complaints with this one... One if they could get the AI features of the galaxy, it would absolutely beat all the phones...! Who cares about the processors when one with the best processor like iphone, performs so terribly, heats so much, theres lag while scrolling on it, battery is terrible, what's with the name and number..! Pixel has tensor but it out performs all these phones in basic things like keeping cool, great battery, no lags, smooth as butter, how does it matter what the name of the processor is or what numbers on the geekbenches say..!

They're about to have more market share. I'm done with Samsung. Every single phone I get from them has some sort of issue, mostly the USB C port spazzing out. I recently got the Z Flip 6. That thing charges hot and is hot to use at times. I had to even cut the performance in the settings so it wouldn't burn me. 4 months after, the main screen would randomly freeze up. I sent it in. They're refunding me the whole price of the phone because they didn't have parts in stock. The screen freeze up is a known issue. I'm just done with them.

Actually then the Pixel is the wrong phone and you should buy another android one. Google is thinking their costumers are rather children and don't even allow them to remove the search bar and the annoying glance bar. Yes, you can change the launcher, but don't forget, no launcher is as fast as the one from the manufacturer. And then other options are missing too. Then the ai is a joke, needing to use Gemini for everything. Why not just using a key like for instance Samsung does?

The only thing I've noticed about my Pixel 9 base model, that I use as a secondary phone, is the battery standby time isn't as good as it was on launch day. It's not terrible, just not quite as good. Other than that the phone has been a great secondary phone.

Nope, from me, I am afraid / rubbish jerky scrolling in some apps which my iPhone and Samsung are silky smooth despite the lower refresh rate on my iPhone, not sure why but it was the pits so it's gone and I'll be everyone careful in the future about buying another g phone, once bitten ..

Pixel 9 Pro XL has the worst battery life out of all the competition. It also still has problems with performance and lagging issues also the camera grainy issues. They fixed nothing.

Nope, not as good as my previous pixel phones the cameras in my 4xl 6 Pro 7 Pro 8 Pro were better! Mines up for sale my Oppo X8 Pro is by far superior in all ways especially the camera. 😊❤
