Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold: bigger and better, but is it worth buying?

Yes, it's worth buying if you comsume a lot of media on your phone and want a foldable phone. I've had it since it came out and I LOVE it.

Having a OnePlus open I have to strongly disagree. Media is no better on these larger devices due to the aspect ratios. KZbin is literally no bigger on the interior display than the cover. I use my foldable for multi-tasking, really disappointed this video talks little about what Google has to offer on this

That's interesting! We like foldables for media viewing because it also means things like multitasking are far easier, and that you can use the phone as a stand for more convenient viewing.

@@techradar I think the jury is still out on the multitasking utility of foldables vs slab phones. If only Apple would stop stubbornly refusing to allow side-by-side (or one on top of the other) apps on at least the Pro Max iPhones we could test it for ourselves. I have a Z Fold 5 that I basically use as a tablet and while it's nice I could never recommend it over an iPhone or a regular S24 or Ultra for most people. While two full-size apps side by side is nice, the double width of the unfolded foldable means you can't interact with either app as smoothly as an individual app on a slab phone. You're limited to either one thumb per app or awkwardly skirting around the half of the screen that's in your way with your other hand to peck at the screen with your index finger or your other thumb from a lower angle.

I still like the "prototype" more... I'm returning my P9PF. I'ma use the original Pixel Fold at least till the Pixel 10 Pro Fold...if it's wider than the P9PF...

Love love love this phone!! Stock Android, simple and easy to use without any bloatware! Its so beautifully slim, slimmer than the samsung fold! Don't care about floating windows or gaming!

I still prefer the Magic V3 over this as it is £1399 which saves a significant amount of money. It has better cameras and is as thin. I understand it is unavailable in the US, but it has a Euro global version.
