To me, the 9 pro XL is night and day to the 8 pro. Best android experience. I've had the s24 ultra. used the iPhones, xiaomi and used many other devices. I don't care what no one says. The tensor chip is fine. I can game on it. I can do all the above without any hiccups at all. I have never seen this phone hiccup or the pixel 8 pro hiccup at all. Phone of the year in my opinion.

Idk what exactly changed When I put android 15 beta 4.2 on my p9p xl but let me tell you, that battery that was already great went up another notch.

I agree with you when it comes to smart phones battery. We have these smart phones for a very long long time already, lots of upgrades, features and with this new AI etc. but smart phone manufacturers seems like they don't give a $h!t about the battery life. I wish they will stop thinking about the new design and features that they are gonna put on their phones, but instead focus and think of how they are gonna improve the battery life and will last for at least 2 days of heavy usage without consumers turning on the battery saving mode or turning off this and that on the phones to conserve battery.
@a1000islandАй бұрын
I think phones that have super fast charging are at least trying to address that
@alexcummings779Ай бұрын
Well said, I would rather have a slightly thicker, somewhat heavier phone with a bigger battery. I don't care about a slim phone. What matters most are feature I rely on, such as phone calls, emails, text messaging, some video calls, and less intensive apps. If I cannot get through the day with the basics by getting great display with great battery life, what good is anything else? Stop it with the other gimmicks and features!

I'd love to see you go back to imports :D For sure you will be suprised how great the Foldables from China actually are. For example, The Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is probably the best Foldable out right now from my experience (I had most Foldables available so ik what i am talking about :D)

Vivo X fold 3 pro vs. Honor magic V3 What do you think?
@zocken2goАй бұрын
@@BrianRamotar_1776 From what i know the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro has overall better specs but the Magic V3 is a little slimmer. Personally i'd go with Vivo because i like their overall software better and also the picture quality. But it's up to you what you prefer 😄👌🏻

I am systematically getting 10 hours of screen on time on a single charge since day one. That's with calling, streaming video, surfing the internet, shooting a few pictures, etc. all at max screen resolution. I was in fact surprised by that because that's not what I am used to with Pixels, certainly not at launch.

The smaller version of this phone is just fine and preferable especially as a secondary phone. Plus you have a great camera

So which one do u thinks is better ? This or s24 plus?
@thebamatechguyАй бұрын
I prefer larger devices if they feel good in the hand. I tried the s24 it was just too small for me, but it's nice that Google is giving us a size choice without compromise.

Just upgraded from the pixel 7 Pro. One thing I do miss is the waterfall display. I feel like the 9 Pro XL's bezel needed to be a bit smaller for me to feel like it was more premium than the 7 Pro. Also, the auto brightness has been terrible so far. Hoping it gets better after a week or so of manually changing it...
@mfwolf86Ай бұрын
I agree that adaptive brightness indoors goes a little too dim. Where I have to raise it manually constantly. I hope that is just an update fix.

Yep, I hope it can be resolved in an update as well.

I’ve lived by the same rule since the iPhone 6 days, I rather get used to the XL device, than regretting not having the XL device

Thanks for breaking down your dislikes here, J. Ironically, I happen to have similar dislikes. At the end of the day, we as users ultimately must decide how far we look to drive these newer devices. Thus far, while this model is good, it almost repeats what the Pixel 8 series presented to us last year.

Bro, you need to import the SONY Xperia 1 VI! It is excellent with no overheating. Got 5G on T-Mobile in the USA too.

On my Samsung Fold 6 I always use with the screen open it's hard to walk with without dropping it but the Pixel 9XL Pro doesn't seem that big to me with the rounded corners it's easier to hold than my S24 Ultra
@cryptoclasswithjayАй бұрын
The 9 XL is a bit large but I'm getting used to it. I also daily drive a OnePlus 12r. The slimmer form of the 12r makes it more comfortable to hold but the 9 XL feels way more premium and the screen, cameras, and ai features are great!

Every year it's the same dilemma with these phones...battery life. It seems solid state batteries will be the solurion.

I think OEMs are definitely slacking off. Why isn't att offering the pixel 9 fold?
@macrochippedАй бұрын
I wonder what it is about the North American market to where we get all the boring homogenized phones? I definitely think importing again could be a fun way to make things fresh again, because I can only look across the pond and sigh over how much more exciting their offerings seem to be.

I took the XL over the smaller pro. I had the Pixel 9. I returned it. Great smaller form factor but the battery was lacking any significant improvements from the Pixel 7pro. A bigger battery means more screen time. Phones should never be put in your pocket. They emit radiation.
@JedEckertАй бұрын
The battery life on my Pixel 9 is amazing. It's better than any other phone I've owned. Mobile phones emit radiation. However, it's important to understand that the type of radiation they emit is non-ionizing radiation, which is very different from the harmful ionizing radiation found in X-rays or nuclear materials. Non-ionizing radiation doesn't have enough energy to damage DNA. The main concern with non-ionizing radiation from mobile phones is the potential for heating the tissues near where the phone is held. While there have been studies examining this, the overall consensus is that the amount of heating is minimal and unlikely to cause any significant health problems. It's always a good idea to stay informed about the latest research and guidelines regarding mobile phone radiation.
@chickenandshrimp1338Ай бұрын
@@JedEckert I had it. The battery on the Pixel 9 pro XL is bigger and better. It's just facts. I own a 6a, 7, 7pro. I skipped the 8. Upgraded to the 9. I didn't like the battery life so I went with the big boy. It doesn't disappoint.
@chickenandshrimp1338Ай бұрын
@@JedEckert Yeah. I've seen Samsung not adhere to radiation guidelines with no penalty. I'm sure the rest are not following the guidelines either. Radiation is radiation.
@JedEckertАй бұрын
@@chickenandshrimp1338 Ah ya. Samsung has never been accused of producing mobile phones with high levels of radiation. And ignoring the science doesn't change the reality.
