Great review. I love my pixel buds A-series. It's true that they do not do a great job sound cancelling, however Google's stated that it purposely allows some sound from the outside to come in through the holes for safety purposes. I knew this ahead of time so the end result never bothered me
@imgettingold94072 жыл бұрын
That is their excuse for being cheap.... almost all buds with noise cancelling have a good transparency mode at the 100 dollar price point.
@Lamski32 жыл бұрын
@@imgettingold9407 Which ones would you recommend in this price range that have active noise canceling and transparency mode? I got the pixel A buds with the 6a phone deal but will probably sell them and get something else if there is something better at this price point. Thanks!
@imgettingold94072 жыл бұрын
@@Lamski3 there are a quite a few so i don't know them all... however those that come to mind off the top of my head are the 1more comfobuds pro and the 1more comfobuds mini under 100... the anker soundcore p3 and A2 anc as well come in for under 80 bucks. the soundcore liberty pro 3 also goes on sale on occasion for less than 100 from time to time (priced at 180 normally). And if you do not mind the lack of waterpoof rating there is the samsung buds 2 with all the bells and whistles. There are even some brands without app support but are decent like the earfun free pro 2. Xaoimi and huwei probably have competing budd as well. Google are doing what brsnds like sony do... make a great expensive product then make a far cheaper product and overprice it then market it as a deal.

I got my Pixel Buds A-series free with my Pixel 6. What a great freebie! Sound really good and definitely the most comfortable ear buds to wear for me. All others (Apple Airpods included) tend to fall out of my ears if I move around - these don't. I hadn't realised there were two different versions and spent a while fruitlessly attempting to wirelessly charge them - doh!

Even the samsung buds 2 is also retailing for $100 right now. Then there is the soundcore p3 that goes for 80. All have more controlls and eq that are costomizable with the app and better bass along with noise cancelling and ambient mode. There is even the earfun buds and the "i" models of soundcore that go for $60 with better sound and anc/ambient modes. If you look you will find many many better alternatives for that price or less. The pair I owned had a major flaw. They didn't work if you put your phone in your pocket. They just cut in and out constantly. When I would go for a walk, I would pop my AirPods in and get some tunes going on my iPhone X, then drop my phone in my back pocket. I never gave it a second thought. I recently switched to a Google Pixel 4a and Pixel Buds A Series. I start on a walk and drop the 4a in my pocket and the Buds just cut in and out constantly. They were unusable with the phone in my pocket. I went through Google support and they heard it on the call and would have replaced them. I chose instead to swap them at Best Buy. The second pair I got had the same flaw so I took them back as well and got the Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro. They work great with my phone in my pocket! The Pixel Buds A Series have a serious flaw.

I have the Pixel Buds A Series. At the time of release these earbuds were a great deal. But a few years on, the wireless earbud space is way more competitive. These earbuds have no ANC, transparency mode or EQ customisation. All of these features are now attainable at under 100. If you can find them for under 50 then it might be a good deal.

I've always been using the Pixel Buds every day and sometimes i might take one bud out too fast or something and it wouldn't connect if the other bud was connected until i put them back and take them out again. they would also be more prone to sliding either the top or the bottom more out of my ear. I just got the A Series from the pixel 6 pro pre-order and the audio seemed a tad better and it fit my ear a lot better. I absolutely hate the new case though. too shiny and only one light that was moved closer to the lid of the case. Might have to use the A series more though. - I wasn't even able to get much from the app that comes with the buds aswell like ringing them to find them. I had it for a few weeks and then it was gone and it doesnt show the battery as a notification but with the A series, it has more to it with the app. A series is definitely better of a buy although you dont get the swipe on the buds to change the volume but most the time I use my phone volume buttons through my pocket to lower the volume
