This dude doesnt understand what waterproof means? its not supposed to function WHILE in water, it means that water will not damage it. Wipe the Screen off and the phone works just fine.

My beloved Pixel 4 dropped into a shallow pool, & while the phone remained functional, the speaker broke. Neither my provider Verizon nor the local fixit shop would touch it, claiming once you had water damage, you better have insurance. Well, I did. Asurion charged me $200 to replace the device. At which step do things not add up? Did I mention this happened within the 30-day company warranty period? What do you think?

I would recommend spraying waterproofing into speakers :) if you plan on accidentally dropping phone in to water make sure you have the speakers blasting loud noise tho until it dries.

@@TENDRKRISP no idea, I've had hardware issues since then and had replacement phone's sent on two separate occasions. At least both speakers are back to sounding great 😂

I don't know why your pixel is alive, but mine( Pixel 4 XL ) after contact with water got water into lens(and there appeared a black spot on telephoto), after the second contact with water it died.

I dropped mine in the bath for a moment and the bottom speaker went off. Then came back on after an hour. But 3 weeks later the bottom speakers failed completely and not ringtone or notifications. Google said they will replace if there is no liquid damage. FFS

Music is loud - try to get something that is more diverse in sound the 7 or 8 chords in cycle are a challenge to listen to, all phones have trouble with touching glass when it's wet, that is not the focus of a waterproofing test, more dynamic conversation with the audience would make it more enjoyable and boost your views too!

This will happen on any smart phone. The touch is capacitive and water droplets are picked up as your fingers.
