How do you link a certain image to a data validation selection that is a list of items. So that when one of the items is selected, the image in the next column cell changes based on what is selected?

Probably with IF or IFS that takes the value of the data validation cell and returns the IMAGE function if it is a certain value.

I don't know of a way to do that. Best to use the IMAGE function and point it to a web address hosting the image.

I added an image to the sheet using "paste" and saw the image in full on the sheet. After I left the sheet and came back to it, I saw only a square of the image and inside it a small icon of an image in the upper right corner of the square. The image disappearedץ How do I bring back the image I pasted to the sheet? Please help.

@@shivathedestination2847I think by using the & symbol u can join image with text or try the join function but I am still learning so can’t give u exact formula. But I have seen it done with the “place image formula & text”. Try that hope it helps

I've never heard of that. Maybe insert them into cells instead of on top. That should anchor them.

Yeah, just use the IMAGE function and point it to the cell with the URL instead of typing the URL into the function.

@@MrMattsMedia No worries. Just click on the cell to make it active. There should be a blue square in the bottom right of the rectangle surrounding the cell. Double click that. It should auto fill down. Or just click and drag. Or copy past....all of those methods will adjust the formulas for each row.

Type the cell reference into the rectangle just above and to the left of the grid. I think it's called the name manager.
