Grab our GN Modmat work surface here! store.gamersnexus.net/ This is really heavily cut down in the beginning. We spent about an hour and a half trying to carefully disassemble things, but since the device only has one screw and otherwise relies upon massive plastic clips, it's very difficult to press those clips externally while still preserving the surface finish of the controller. Google will probably just throw these in the trash when they do RMAs, as it'd be easier and it seems nearly impossible to access the inside without any cosmetic damage.

I think you do the clips on the interior of the handles then when those pop you torque the interior edge of the handles to pull the outside clips away from the lower shell and it should pop off. EDIT: Think of it like the plastic bezels around laptop LCD screens. Pull up from the inner side to free the clips on the outer side

So Steve briefly mentions ease of assembly, and that is kind of the problem here. I work in automotive manufacturing and I can see the real problem; it was in fact designed for quick solid assembly and not much else. Working in assembly, I also sometimes pick up overtime in repair, and let me tell you, one does not equal the other. The intent here was "Push the top part down on the bottom, drive a screw, finished product" This falls apart when workers or lord forbid customers have to start jamming tools into seams to break clips. Clips exist for the assembler, screws exist for everyone after.

Hotgun, liquid nitrogen then once the dremel came out I was almost on the floor laughing. Seriously though I pray this service fails miserably as the longer we can put off game streaming the better. I've troubleshot internet for 12 years for 4 different ISPs and I can assure you game streaming is a terrible fucking idea.
@TheNiteNinja195 жыл бұрын
It's bad enough physical copies are hard to come by, let alone streaming. Not everyone has perfect internet. Still allot of people living on DSL and satellite. At least with Steam, they can set download time windows to the times where traffic is the clearest and/or satellite bandwidth isn't recorded, in order to download their games. I've used in home streaming and it wasn't exactly a pleasant experience even over 10-gbit home network, can't imagine trying to play a game sourced hundreds of miles away, through cable internet. Game streaming will hit a certain niche, especially with parents not having to download a console, but it won't replace the current paradigm, especially on a flakey service where you still have to pay for the games, on top of the monthly fee.
