Apparently the original PMD 2 script has small changes in the partner dialogue with some species - stuff like being more polite and so on. There's one big 'default' group, including Mudkip. Obviously, when the translator gets these, the small tweaks get bigger. My run through the hack had a Vulpix partner, and before fighting Groudon she said 'This is our family, (player)! Hot gecko dude... So offensive! And that's all!'. Then when waiting for Dusknoir to come back with Grovyle, she went 'Grovyle's bad words will be punished. I've done it many times'. This made me pretty convinced that she already knows Grovyle, and I've gotta say that if that's true it changes the tone of pretty much everything they say to each other during the future.

Very interesting! I’ve modded PMD2 in the past and did see the “default” while looking at vanilla scripts. I didn’t know it was based on species though! I wonder why the devs did that.

I always assumed it depended on your partner's gender tbh, since as you mentioned I noticed changes on Vulpix & Eevee (both female-locked as partners) vs stuff like Shinx which iirc is male-locked

@EeveeHawkFan I think, from Googling, that it includes them but it's not JUST them. I think most of the male-locked ones have the default script.

peak content, always makes me chuckle. not sure if its intentional or not, but you have your mic positioned incorrectly. You speak into the side of the Blue Yeti, not the end of it. You want it in the cardiod pickup pattern as well (all of this can be looked up if needed ).
