Not only is the ONN 4K Pro a streaming box, but it’s also a Google Assistant smart speaker, complete with hands-free control. This means that you don’t need to talk into the remote every time you want to turn off the lights or pause a movie. the ONN 4K Pro also has a Remote Finder feature. When pressed, your remote will start making a chirping noise so you can figure out which couch cushion it got wedged beneath. BTW I own the ONN 4K , but I am going to upgrade to the Pro. Hey tech, doc I just purchased the Onn 4k I installed your screensaver and Ariel views, but I’m unable to change the start/stop settings The keyboard comes up and you can’t do anything except enable or disable your screensaver. Is there any solution for this? I’ve had it working perfectly on my Firestick for years. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

@@andykaufmoon shield is running the android tv 9.0. Nvidia won't upgrade it for some reason. Shield doesn't have AV1 support for the new video formats. Shield remote is a pain to use. Onn 4k pro run almost as fast as the shield pro. Onn has the better remote and more internal storage than the shield.

I've had the Onn 4K Pro in my Living Room for a few Months now and I absolutely love it! It's much faster and not as buggy as the original Chromecast With Google TV 4K. I still have two Google Chromecast With Google TV 4K's for my other two TV'S and I don't plan on Upgrading them because they are still good enough but I wanted something better for the Living Room and I definitely got that with the Onn 4K Pro. The Onn 4K Pro also shows up in the Google Home App just like the Google Chromecast With Google TV 4K's do so that's another plus for half the Price. Walmart really has a good thing going with their Onn Streaming Devices I just hope they can be consistent with the Updates for them.

WiFi 6 advantages: Coverage range/distance, wpa3 support, Future support, faster 2.4g support (some areas are very crowded ok 5ghz), lower latency. All of that before looking at actual transmit rates.

Walmart has onn 4k pro with WiFi 6 if you want more speed you can buy a Ethernet gigabyte with USB connection, just connected it with the USB port on onn 4k pro

@@TechDoctorUK If I was minted, and cost wasn't an issue, I'd have the best of gear, but in reality I'd go for the cheaper version with the best options for me, and in the UK it's probably the Fire stick that I already have until it fails, but it is good to know what the potential options are. I tried the Onn 4k device, but I had to return it. the first time I turned it on it gave me a corrupted system error and I had to figure out how to factory reset it. After I got it started it had other problems, like if I restarted it with anything plugged into it's usb port, such as wireless usb dongles for remotes mice/keyboards/media-remotes, or a usb drive or sd card reader for additional storage or a gigabit usb adaptor, I got a boot error and had to remove those things until it was fully booted. It also has several bugs and errors during operation and would randomly crash. Also, everytime I searched for anything, even when I typed the search in with a keyboard, it would announce what I searched for using the assistant voice and I couldn't find anyway to turn that off.

Just thought I would add I was reading on Amazon about the Google TV streamer and it says that it supports 64-bit applications in order to support a 64-bit application to operating system would have to be 64-bit which means it could be an Nvidia competitor because Nvidia is the only streaming device with a 64-bit operating system until now
