If you were to take both of these courses would they cover enough material to pass the compTIA A+ exam?

I think you'll find that a lot of things overlap between these two certs and that would make it very lengthy. Sure, some tools and methods might be different. But they're both entry-level IT certs. I'm no expert in CompTIA A+ exams, but I would advice to you check out their requirements more specifically
