Between my Peak Design Everyday Backpack and my Pixel Buds I was having a hard time seeing this as a value. Then the MicroUSB was a deal breaker. No new product should be micro usb!!

The price really isn’t all that bad for a well made backpack. It seems like the tech in this is “only” bloating the price by about 80. Though, the must have tech backpack last year was over 300 if I recall, and that had no tech in it.

It dictates it through your headphones. Most of the Jacquard features kind of assume you're wearing some, which is what makes media controls a bit redundant.

It’s the same tech pretty much. The jacket was $350 on launch though!

Android Authority so the base jacket price may have been about $150 making that a $200 addition. The base backpack is likely about $100 and this is now a $100 addition. That’s better. But, it’s still functionality that the phone or headphones or a watch will duplicate. And a lot of that functionality a phone makes possible without unlocking the phone (track skip forward or back, pause, volume up or down). Plus, with your phone you can do all of that with your voice assistant (actually, I’ve never tried to adjust the volume of my phone through Siri).

I think it's really cool that you're able to drop a pin to places you've been to while walking in a new city, or if you happen to see a place you want to go back to when you're walking around. Changing music and other things like that are meaningless if you're using TWS (which most likely someone that owns a device like is using).

My thoughts as well. Media controls are a bit pointless since you pretty much need to be wearing TWS headphones anyways. But the other functions are nice.

Agreed. I'm still using wired IEMs. The sound/music is so much better. I also don't find the Apple Airpods cool. When I first saw someone wearing them I'm thinking, "Why is he wearing an earphone with wires cut off? Is that a trend? Like wearing glasses with no lens.

This is way too much. Not everything in this world need to be connected or smart in some way. I can barely cope with the idea of smartwatches and that's only due to the GPS for running. Other than that.. they are just another thing to charge almost daily that bring next to zero real life functionality that you couldn't live w/o. Not even David is wearing a smartwatch in this video.
