They pay a different company to produce it. Google itself actually makes the video, and that's because they don't need a production team. They simply need an editing team, due to Year in Search being a montage of collected clips, while Rewind is a choreographed, live action production.

I remember when you googled something and you got what you googled. It might be better now but sometimes I just want what I asked for. Not the most common sponsored links. I googled "How many times did Hailey Smith shoot Stan" Because I think its like 3 times and that's funny to me. But instead of the answer off some random blog or forum in obscure-ea I got pages and pages of American Dad wikis, episodes, reviews of episodes etc. Nothing about what I asked for. Just American Dad as the keywords and only AD. So is there a way to "rewind" how the search works in settings anywhere people? btw I normally want the most common result and not what Billy Bobs cousin-wife Hailey wears while shooting skunks. But hey maybe some times I wanna see that ya know.
