This went hard at Miku Expo 2024. They held off on a Luka song for so long that the crowd went absolutely wild when she finally appeared on screen (myself included). They even added more buildup in the start of the song! Also the live band definitely did the song justice ^^

Samfree died so young...and was the first composer that I listened to and loved when I discovered Vocaloid in '09. Lily Lily Burning Night, Luka Luka Night Fever, etc. have always been...memories to me. I found out about his death pretty late. Basically, just when I clicked on this video like...just 30 minutes before writing this. I'm still in shock, and am deeply saddened. It might take me 2-3 hours before it sort of hits that he's really dead. I remember singing and using Luka Luka Night Fever in MMD all the time (Hell, I remember when Lily Lily Burning Night didn't have a motion for it at the time, so everybody used Luka Luka Night Fever since it was the same time as the audio), and it just brightening up my day. Now...listening to it seems....unreal, or bittersweet a bit. However....I think the age that he died at....really pierces the heart and emotions the most, especially that it was sudden. Even though they didn't give an exact reason to why he died, he died pretty suddenly, and it isn't going to change that....he's gone. I'm glad though that I got to experience Samfree's works though. They're beautiful, and really made me go into the Vocaloid community more, and got me....almost introduced to it, so to speak. His legacy will definitely live on in the community, and he won't be forgotten, but loved dearly by all of the community. He touched our hearts with his music. Rest in peace, Samfree.
