Mario's the kind of guy who isn't happy unless his friends are happy, and that makes him not just a badass warrior, but a good person as well.

Before you call Mario evil, keep in mind he's fending off actively hostile invaders, here. Mario only attacks when provoked, and is otherwise friendly. We've seen him regularly and peacefully interact with non-combatant Koopas and Goombas in the past, like Koopa The Quick in Mario 64, and Goombette in Mario Odyssey. Hell, he even helps Bowser Jr. when the kid comes to him under a truce in Bowser's Fury. If you want to blame someone, blame Bowser, who keeps initiating these needless conflicts!
