Power Star [FULL MOVIE]

The darkest/most epic/insane sprite movie I have ever seen! Created by Daniel Sun. All 4 parts of the power star series is now combined into one big movie! In it Mario becomes possessed by ghosts and Luigi must stop the possessed Mario from obtaining all the power stars and destroying all creation!

Bowser's voice wasn't in the original Power Star series. When we combined every Power Star episode into a longer movie, we decided to add Bowser's voice in there. This is because I recall a ton of people were confused, wondering where Bowser was during all of this. Our movie edit has a few other slight differences from the original series as well. Bowser's voice at the end is however the biggest one. It's up to the viewer's interpretation on Bowser's voice at the end of the "movie version" of Power Star. But I like to think that Bowser and the Boos weren't connected. These Boos were their own faction, more deadly and brave than the regular ones that work for Bowser or King Boo. I like to think that Bowser himself came to the Mushroom Kingdom to kidnap Peach like he usually does, only to discover his enemies had finally perished. The Kingdom was finally his for the taking! It wasn't until years later I discovered that Bowser was supposed to be dead during all this (killed during the prequel Flash Game "Mario Combat.") Although Bowser is notorious for dying and coming back to life in the actual Mario games, so it's not far fetched to think that Bowser may have came back to life yet again lmao XD This also opens the door for other characters being resurrected. 1up Mushrooms and Resurrection Potions do exist in the Mario Universe. I can picture Bowser bringing Peach back to life (because he has the hots for her.) And if Peach finds a way to escape, she can bring back Mario and Luigi as well to stop Bowser and restore the Mushroom Kingdom. (This is a Sequel Fan-Film idea I would love to see, if anyone is interested in making this and has the ability to make sprite movies like Power Star.) If any of you Power Star fans prefers Bowser staying dead though, one could also interpret Bowser's voice at the end to be greeting Mario in the afterlife, or it could be Bowser's own ghost discovering Mario and friend's remains.

So strange, I remember watching this series as a kid but at the time neither the 3rd or 4th episode was out yet so I'm only seeing it now 13 years later. Even at 26 I was shocked by the ending of the film and I really did think Luigi would somehow beat Mario in that cliched good guy vs bad guy story routine. But in the end it was probably a fitting ending that made sense in keeping with the show's bloody violence. Just can't believe it took until 2021 to stumble upon it again!

This should really get a remake combinding all 4 of the episodes with improved animation, improved sound quality, new scenes, sprite changes(Mario and Luigi use their Superstar Saga version while Peach uses her Bowser Inside Story version), story changes(Instead of multiple Boos possessing Mario, King Boo posesses him), etc. If I were to make a Power Star Full Series remake, than I would call it Power Star Ressuruction. And if it does well, than I would consider making a sequel. But, this is not something I own, this is D Suns work.

We added it. Since everyone always asked where Bowser was, in this. I don't think Bowser was responsible for this evil plot, the Boos wanted to destroy all creation, and Bowser wouldn't want to be destroyed as well - unless if he sent the boos to destroy it all so he can remake the world to his liking. At the end of the credits, he is just shocked & surprised to see everyone dead. Either way he finally wins.

Honestly , THIS is one of the few "childhood character corrupted and evil" things I can actually get behind. Devil Mario's existence is actually justified in universe and ties into the existing Mario lore (even if just a bit), he's incredibly badass while still being absolutely terrifying, his voice, animation and effects are all amazing, and he's actually defeated by the end, with the whole story having emotional stakes and actually being a story instead of just a bunch of shock value stitched together. Compare this to things like "Squidward's Suicide" or Robot Chicken sketches , the difference in emtion and quality is night and day, though the fact that Power Star was possibly one of, if not THE first corruption of childhood heroes in the Internet landscape (some old ass tapes and animations weren't globally availble back in the early 2000') probably made it easier for it to avoid many cliches that would appear years later.

it would have been epic if bowser( the fire breathing iron man)came in to fight this possessed pure entity of destruction like imagine if bowser turned into giga bowser in the middle of fighting power star mario then think about the koopa troops fighting mario's army of hellish toads and yoshi's the entire mushroom kingdom would be vanquished,then mario would take out the ancient samurai sword,boswer would melt the sword with his breathe than they would just be beating the pure mess out of eachother in a gory fashion

It's probably a bittersweet ending because Bowser is actually a good guy,he helped Mario so many times, he cares about princess peach and he's a loving father. He would probably build a bright future for everyone and will build a statue of them as a memory.
