If you are slightly mechanically minded you can build a draws system almost identical for easily an eighth the price of this goose gear system. Its just a simple aluminum t slot frame with some nice wooden cabinets and heavy duty sliders.

I've get debating on whether or not a Bronco would be a suitable Overlanding rig. I think this gorgeous truck answers my question. Does the owner have a forum or social media page for the build of this truck? Hoping it will be at Overland Expo next month!!

Personally, I think goose gear is over hyped & WAY to over priced...I wouldn't even consider paying $750 for a drawer... there is absolutely NO value in that price point... again, just my opinion...

Anywhere Overlander Right !! Everyone is trying to come up on building these "modular" systems when the average wood worker can build these himself. First things first is to secure the materials locally if you can find em.

I think the key word is what you started off with, "personally." Everyone is entitled to their opinion about what constitutes value. However, the common mistake that DIYers makes is properly assessing costs to compare price. When DIYers look at something they only look at the raw materials cost. In the case of Goose Gear, they look and determine that there cannot be $750 in materials cost. "I can make it for much cheaper." A business has all the other costs that have to be paid for in the price of its product. Building lease, labor, materials costs, commissions, insurance, marketing, legal, workers comp, machining, packaging, shipping, software, and the list goes on. The DIYer, also prices their own labor at $0. They only look at the materials cost from Home Depot, or wherever. They don't count the opportunity cost of the 15 to 20 hours to build the project. As an example, if you price your labor at $20 and hour and it takes you 15 hours to build this project, that just added $300 to the price of the build. Add in the time it takes to pick up the materials and their purchase price, including the drawer guides, which run around $150, compression latch and your inexpensive home-build is now actually coming in around the $750 you complain about.

STAY AWAY!!! 3 miles up a trail that my wifes honda civic would laugh at, the cabinets starting falling apart and the base plate cracked. Its basically cheap commercial cabinet style hardware. 350lbs...my ass. No refund, no replacement, just the run around and not returning my calls.
