OMG I love New City! It's a truly up and coming neighborhood in my opinion - but I'm even more excited about Lincoln Yards and the Vista Tower! I can't wait for tours of penthouses and condos in the Vista Tower! Btw I live in Lakeview near Diversey and Halsted - a perfect blend of peaceful and urban. Absolutely love it. Downtown is cool, but it's a bit too busy and I find areas such as Old Town, Gold Coast, Lakeview, and Lincoln Park to be overall better places to live. Overall, I think Chicago is underrated. Sure, maybe the crime rate is high, but that's only in selected neighborhoods, and speaking of neighborhoods, Chicago has so many unique neighborhoods, from sports areas such as Wrigleyville to luxury in Gold Coast to true urban life in Lakeshore East and Streeterville. And the food is great too :)
