That movable tail section is really long with a lot of weight and causes a simulation of the Trailer changing the weight on wheels between its up and down movement Up makes it lite Down adds weight The length, weight and total distance of movement is a real physics problem that changes to weight on the wheels to go up and down and probably bounce off the rear axle point

Yes, you are fortunate to work with your Dad. I wish I was able to work with my dad or one of my kids. Sometimes mixing work with family members absolutely destroy the relationship. Let haters hate, your work your ass off, while others do not take action and choose to complain. Stay positive and keep doing what your doing. Almost 50,000 people enjoy what you do!

Just got done watching Dirt Perfect! I thought that I'd mention something (maybe your already aware). The safety chains are not the same as the Tie-down chains. My chain supplier told me that safety chains are designed to stretch. DOT requirements for tie-down chains are required to be at least grade 70. Safety chains are not. Maybe the ones you have are but I thought I'd mention it just in case.

That tail when you raise it up you need to let the pressure off the hydraulics by setting it down on the safety pins before tying down your equipment. This will take care of your ride issues along with saving wear and tear on the lift mechanism of the dove tail.
@VBELTandSON4 жыл бұрын
Please confirm that you know and understand how the dc hydro works
@kawkid4 жыл бұрын
I've always heard you want your weight balance forward, toward the tongue. You do not want the load perfectly balanced on the trailer. That will wag like the tail of a dog at speed. I think you had the right answer when you thought maybe you should not tie something to the tail that is riding on the main section. I also think if you were running a light tongue that could have contributed.

Curious how many employees are on your crew. Starting to notice you have a lot of equipment and some aren't the cheapest toys in the toy box either, But you seem to have a few trailers and trucks. At first I was thinking you would leave equipment on specific trailers but that doesn't seem to happen much at the home front in your videos. I have to say I love the videos keep them coming.

Be VERY careful to not get too much weight off the truck or you'd risk getting sideways oscillation instead of bad comfort, just watch this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/apvOantrdqdnoq8

it would have been simplier if you had gone to a DOT scale, an weighed it out per axle. Then you would have known what you needed to do.

For a smooth ride, carry the weight, not pull the weight...whenever you can. More tongue weight smooths out the ride. Like I’ve said before, an 18 wheeler has 34k on the drives and 34k on the trailer axles.
@williamuskoski13854 жыл бұрын
Can't always go by that. Some trailers and trucks will ride like ass if you have to much weight on them
