Not only that, their windmill has a couple of windows in it so you can side-step through it without breaking and rolling away, and keep the damage going as soon as possible. Even the purple Oni brutes are pretty easy.

If you tap the dodge button you can dance around the oni brute and never get hit. Tbh it’s the easiest and most predictable enemy in the game

TIP FOR SURVIVAL FOR THOSE DON'T KNOW. Using water stance heavy spam cancels out almost every enemies unblockable attack besides spear oni and hammer oni. So brutes with shields or sword dudes they will stop. Regular spear man however just block

If you can, getting behind a piece of cover about the size of like 2 characters is a counter I've used before. Sometimes you could even stop the Tengu from sending more crows out if the cover is big enough.

Ronin bombs will keep them staggered for your team to attack and keeps other enemies at bay with the explosive knockback so its easier to prioritize, given you have a ronin on your team (100% should btw)

For a tip, I've found that if you throw down a smoke bomb, it offers a bit of time to get one or two critical hits on them depending on how fast you are.

I got some tips for them your talking about the spinning slam attack that a red unblockable just dodge towards them on there right side or left side depending on which side closer and for there aoe attack just roll away use your bow or attack from behind and for the blue unblockable I just parry it most of the time if not just roll away because if you don't parry it a second blue unblockable attack will happen and it will knock you down and for the charging spear thrust red unblockable just dodge right or left it has a big hit box I mean this guy has a huge hit box I was trying to help my teammate and he hit me from behind

One thing I’ve found out is that if you attack them relentlessly they do way less damage, in fact, the more you run away, the more damage you take, from what I’ve seen and experienced, it’s better to fight them head on, they take damage through their guard, which no other enemy does in the game. If there’s two of them, it’s better to take cover and run away from it, since you’ll be taking increased damage if both of them do it. If you get hit by their melee attack, I think they boost their crow attack.

Ronin's flash bombs stun them for a few seconds. I always use these on them and it interups their attacks. It does no damage but it can create a window to kill them. Imma try your tactic and see how that goes thanks for the video!

I just started using the legendary caltrops that add weaken (and Deep Bags), in addition to Dirt Throw with Rancid (weaken). I’m not sure if they stack, if they do it’s still not enough to burst down in one phase, so I space them out and coordinate with teammate to both take advantage of each weakened cycle. Working ok for us. Will def try the running in circles trick 👍

Best tip: use Wrath of Sarugami Katana, if you have it Using the samurai with a bunch of perfect parry window increases can help alot since the Katana disable normal Parry's and you can only perfect parry. It helps alot to take down the tengu or basic Spearman

I've found it's super helpful for you or a teammate to pin them. I might be thinking of a different enemy, but the one's that keep teleporting. If you pin them, it's way easier to keep track of them when they move. The pin doesn't last super long, but it's way easier to find them when you get it.

Due to their low stagger and health bars, Tengus and be taken down fairly easily if you focus them. I always use sticky bombs to stun them first, and strike them with triangle attacks(preferably water combo). By the time the sticky bomb ends, you should be able to deplete their white bar, leading to another stun. A combo like this should kill them with no problem, or you can always just smoke bomb or ult. I use the Yoshitsune's Arm with plus stagger damage, anti-oni damage and water master, really useful in Nightmare modes.

Before I watch the video imma say. I wound up just realizing the best thing for me as a Ronin was to just to hurl a sticky bomb and finish it off. If I did not have one just chuck concussion bombs before the crows come out.

As Assassin I just put down smoke or poison and super strike or assassinate, that’s the best way for me to do it without taking much damage.

I pop a smoke then crit damage them out, if you have a sticky bomb it’s also good. Your goal is to stagger them first and end them second. Also I have blessed strikes on so when I use my souls drain I’ll run at them and get my health restored to them the more damage I do. You basically run up and yeet them as fast as you can because the rest of the enemies afterwards are pretty much light work.

My Tip with Tangu as a Ronin main. Throw one sticky bomb use water stances (or your heavy attack on whatever stance) you should get 2-3 bits. Throw another bomb bellow (should stunt other enemies trying to attack you) then do it again and repate for 3 times max. They should be dead by then (For survival at least it helps) another good tip is save your smoke for boss rounds throw it down and do a criticle hit! (Move behind them to push in circle) you should get 2-3 criticle hits or assassination. If now you should have a dirt or sticky bomb to finish them off. For me they are not a huge problem so much as the Spear oni because even if you have the stance that counters them, there white bar goes down similar to other styles imo.

I think the tengu's range attack can be parry if you're right on them. I've done it a couple times by accident but I haven't tested it. Told my friend about it and he was able to do it too. You should test it to see if it works. I think he does the charge attack and range attack at the same time when you're up close.

Master's katana and Samurai charm: melee Dmg, melee stagger dmg, Water master. Dirt and heavenly strike to interrupt. Heavenly strike also shocks enemies around u. Idk why ppl doesn't use heavenly strike. Extra note: if u use kunai (giving up dirt throw), u can role extra melee Dmg.

Don't know if you'll see this Gooshy, but could you do a breakdown of the Oni spearmen? Not the ones with the shields, the other ones with the larger health bar. Their attacks are hard to break down, considering that analyzing attack patterns isn't something I'm particularly good at.

Sticky bomb them and do as much dps with poison or fire damage I use this to stop all the Oni bosses from big guys to the archers and the sticky bomb stops the archers from teleporting around on you . Try it , it's super good sticky bomb is basically an insta trap

Wind stance will drop their stamina bar down a lot. Especially with wind master perk. A few well placed charge kicks will stagger like crazy. I main a ronin, so I use weaken a lot. Kunai with super massive, smoke bombs, and ghost bombs will help. The horizontal unblockable swings, roll backwards. The vertical swings, I roll left or right. It's the only oni that gives me a bit of trouble. I think I'm going to test out a good strategy on a solo run to see the best strategy.

For everyone struggling with tengus, a good way to take them out quick is to first hit them with a dirt throw and rancid and follow up with anything that can break their guard. (Note: when the guard is broken the can’t use the crow attack and will be stuck for a few seconds)

One of the most underused and amazing weapons is the super massive kunai. One crit attack and 1 kunai kill those guys. And 30 sec cool down so much better than the other ones. Esp the legendary kunai. Always use super massive not fired up

The best for dealing with Tengu is the Hunter class, with fire damage perk. They can stay out of range of the Tengu, and one explosive arrow will do it. With the extra 25% fire damage the Tengu will burn to death after the explosion wipes out most of it's health. Hunter are a must for nightmare survival to deal with the tougher enemies. She deals so much damage in a short time.

He didn't mention that if you're at full health you can at least block half of the volley. I'm unsure if it is specific per stance, but I've always been able to do this. Another strat is good for ronin mains: Throw down your healing circle, use legendary kaltrips that insta stagger, and go in. The kaltrips throw down about 9 if I counted right. So you can get at least three enemies in it.

I hit them with a suped up sticky or just take them out with ranged attacks. In survival I'll run a bomb pack with my Ronin since the arrows won't be as useful. High end Ghost weaponry makes thing alot easier.

Way of the flame, sticky bomb, headshots, smoke bombs, kunais, dirt, hunter stagger shot, assassin cloak ability, ronin dogs/healing dogs and bears, samurai healing ability. Best thing to do is focus your entire life on them dying before focusing anyone else.

I got tips for fighting hammer oni I find them the easiest to fight because I can dodge all attack without taking damage you can dodge there aoe attack by jumping you gotta time it and you can dodge 2 different ways on there spinning attack for doing damage you can sidestep dodge behind them and get some damage or you can sidestep away and attack for 1 hit then repeat and the for the hammer coming from the top side step behind and get 3 to 4 hits then dodge behind again and repeat but for 3 hits then dodge behind I got a few tips on fighting the lord oni or spear and shield oni from what I learned there spinning shield aoe attack can be easily dodge and counter 2 different ways one roll away and shoot arrow at them other is get behind and attack because for some reason it can not hit you when your attacking for the back now for hit teleport moves the one where he spinning and you see a unblockable red attack roll behind him I roll to the right side don't know about the left side for his blue unblockable just parry it it a free parry and when he on the battlefield in survival keep this oni away from teammates he has a huge hit box if you want to help your teammates fight one better to use a bow he hit me from behind him when I was trying to help someone and btw this oni greatly weakness is a bow serious he the easiest to get headshots on I got a few Tips for tengu aka bird guy Run up and smoke bomb then sneak attack or hide behind cover and shoot him with the bow arrow go through walls if your very close to the wall your hiding or just do what this video said I don't know to much about The teleport bow guys Take them out when you see them direct all focus on them they are annoying I say Tip just use something to stun them for a second so you can get some damage on them or smoke bomb right next to them so you can get some free critical attacks and that all I got because I don't know the best way to take them out except roll to them and hit them

TIP FOR DEALING WITH HEAVY ONI: Get the masters katana or a Moon katana and get the "Moon master" ability, this ability DESTROYS heavy onis stance and keeps other enemys at bay, allowing you to prioratize the heavier enemies. This is extremly usefull when you're in survival trying to hold out a zone that is full of enemys.
