I used to run into Joe walking around campus...we always had a nice little chat. He was assistant coach when I was an undergraduate... (Class of 1962)...PSU was smaller then. What a great guy...an inspiration. He really built the place...when he walked into the room, everybody was filled with pride and a willingness to help the school. When he asked for money to build a library or something, everybody gave as much as they could. I still have my Wheaties cereal box with his picture on it.

Little man, the facts are clear. Joe pa and through him the upper levels of Pedophile State knew all about Sandusky and did nothing. that actually lied to a grand Jury in 2002. The fact that you do not wish to accept this in no way changes it. Only a small minded shit for brains like yourself refuses to see the truth as you are emotionally attached to a false reality. Not a single member of this group gave a damn about the abuse of these children, And it seems that neither do you. As I have said before, Pedo State should have lost football for 10 years,

Still miss you, Joe. There will never again be a football coach as great as you, and I’m talking not about the 409 wins and the national championships, but about your outstanding 61-year legacy as a teacher, a promoter of hard work and morals, Success with Honor, and all you did to transform the Penn State of 1950 when you arrived into its current size, status, and world-class excellence. Paterno Library, which you personally funded, is but one example of that. I look forward to the day when you are vindicated, properly honored, and once again proudly feted by the University whose Board of Trustees committed the most terrible acts of fraud, deceit, jealousy, ego, and incompetence that I have ever seen. As shameful as it was infuriating. I consider you to be a second father, Joe, inspiring me to be a better man. This video montage and soundtrack is a great reminder of that. - Class of '79 -

Paterno handled himself appropriately in 2001 and during the three-year investigation." In fact, Joe was the ONLY person to report the information he’d received. Think for a minute. What would Joe have gained by hiding or covering up? Sandusky was retired, no longer had anything to do with the university or the football program. I repeat: THE ONE ON-CAMPUS INCIDENT HAPPENED *AFTER* SANDUSKY HAD RETIRED. It would have had no ill effect on Joe, the university, or PSU football. Quite the opposite: Joe would have been given an even bigger crown as King of Morals if he had turned in Sandusky! (Actually, he DID turn in Sandusky; his superiors Curley and Schultz dropped the ball and were convicted.) You know, the whole "Saint Joe" thing that made so many people jealous of him, his Grand Experiment, and "Success with Honor". Makes you feel better about yourself somehow. @@riprock57 Succinct and accurate. Joe and CSS covered up 2001 because of 1998. Penn State was given a report by a licensed psychologist Alycia Chambers that said Sandusky was a pedophile in 1998. If 2001 had gone public and then the media found out about 1998 then "saint" Joe and CSS would have been fired. That plus PSU football sucked in 2001. So, you see not everyone was fooled and it was covered up to protect the image of the university of which football was the face.
@Phillyfan32012 жыл бұрын
Then by your definition, everyone in this country has a hick like love for football. You try telling me that Ohio St., Michigan, Texas, and other big football schools don't have the same passion for the game, or that any sports fan doesn't love to cheer for their team. It's not a student's fault that football was put first just because they were a fan. You can't blame that on the kids! If you're under the impression I support Paterno, I don't. Your comment is a testament to your ignorance.

Grambling State's legendary football coach Eddie Robinson is once again the all-time winningest coach in NCAA Division I football history. It's your chance to "get back" at Penn State, something you and your fellow Pitt trolls couldn't ever do on your own.
