Both hilarious and sad video) Living not too far from Lisichansk, it's great to see the city from your perspective. The ruins you visited used to be the second largest soda factory in Europe, which was built by the Germans during WW II period (as well as some other buildings in the city as well). As far as I know, the factory was closed and destroyed due to financial issues. My aunt used to work there when I was a kid. The streets are mean indeed) I think you might have guessed by now why people here are like that, often drunk or acting stupid. The quality of life makes them spend their whole lives working hard at mediocre jobs to feed their families and get by until next salary. And when they enjoy rare moments of having free time, they spend it in front of TV or drinking away their sorrows. Being an English teacher in a small town, I can't help but notice that and it makes me wonder if we will ever change. I would like to show this video to my students (omitting obscenities, of course) if you don't mind, because they don't get the importance of learning English and developing culturally. As always, big fan of your work, keep it up.

I don't think it's the entire region of Donbass that is dangerous-- it's just the easternmost parts of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts in the region. He's far west enough to be safe

I always look forward to your uploads Benjamin, (Not sure how you spell your name) I have even got my wife into watching your channel, as she was not that keen before. When you try and explain to someone, there is this guy on KZbin who mainly goes around Russia and Baltic States, explaining the history with a twist of humour included, most people just give you an odd look or think it sounds boring, but most people, when they start to get into it, makes for good viewing.
