You can attach the go pro directly to the mini tripod that comes out of the handle which gets the GoPro nice and low and very sturdy on the small tripod. All you need to do is pull the threaded cap off the top of the tripod.

I had the first version (gift), and it was great. Unfortunately, the connecting piece at the top broke shortly after. I just ordered the 2nd version off of eBay for $31.

Hi, you are right. The costs are to high for that 20-30€ I would give for that. But the "Grip" version was perfect for the beach or sandy area. I screwed the tripod onto it and rammed it into the sand. It was just perfect with our kid. Thanks for sharing that video.

Hello! For the 2.0 if a I use the tripod and have the selfi stick part in fully expanded. Can I then turn the camera to film in portrait mode, without it tipping over? :)
