GoPro Gimbal Lens Position In-Line with Roll Motor: Does it Matter?

This question has come up a few times so I decided to do some experimenting. Is it really a big deal to have the lens offset from the gimbal motors? The GoPro gimbals are a Zhiyun-Tech Rider and a Rider-M mounted on my DIY folding GoPro tray.
