I don’t think the customer should have to pay the price of technological advancements, especially when those advances aren’t even new. This should be $150 max

@@Fee.1 but…are you planning to shoot a 20 min clip in 4k120?? If so, you’ll have the same issue with a Somy a7sIII and Canon R5 for example, too…the thing is to film shorter clips, outdoors…and plan before shooting 🙂

Hey Peter - what an incredible video! 🔥 But if you still have your Hero 10, would you mind testing the overheating? After 20 minutes or so on my Hero 10, it overheats and shuts down (tested at 2.7K60, 4K60, 5K30 - with multiple batteries). Would be keen to hear your experience

Take a look into some used Hero 7 Blacks. Last to use the cage compared to having the mount built in, replaceable lens (Black only), haven't had any overheating issues with mine either. I'd have grabbed the 8 or newer if there was a good justification for the cost

The issue with GoPro is they look at whatever Apple does, then implement the exact same sensor into the camera. They don't have any competition and have never innovated. Its been like this since the Hero 1. If someone drops an APS-C sensor in an action Camera GoPro goes bankrupt. And I hope someone does it because then at least we have decent, usable footage. Its at the point where it almost makes more sense to strap a DJI drone to a bike because they at least care about the consumer.

Great vid Pete! Small tip for battery saving is to turn off the front screen in the settings and to shoot with the rear display off. Doing this has almost doubled battery life for me!

Brought memories back of our Swedish hero Motocross driver. Håkan "Carla" Carlquist. He won the world championship twice, 250cc and the 500cc class. In 1988 he was so superior in the race in Namur that he made a quick stop right before the end of a heat to have a beer. He won the heat. Legend.

Is your gopro 10 also over heating? Some early reviewers are saying they cannot go over 23 mins due to the over heating. I suppose you didn’t have an issue because moving at over 40 mph should have cooled it off.

Nice video. Pretty sure it’s 5.3K, not 5.7. I sold my H9 and got the 10. I do a lot of whitewater kayaking so the hydrophobic lens cover is a big plus, as are the increased resolutions and frame rates. Stoked to be able to pull quality stills from video. So far it’s looking good and working flawlessly. Interesting that mine had a different cardboard sleeve, and did not have the recommended settings card you mentioned. 🤔

I think the shade you put on GoPro makes them have to send you a camera. Not only are you a major influencer but your one that is honest and doesn't give them an inch.
