What I'm enjoying more about the sony is it doesnt feel as sharp and pixelated as the gopro. The fine details of the trees feel more natural and less pixelated in my opinion. Trees are a very challenging environment for action cams to capture well. A majorly important thing for me, and honestly a lot of people now, would be if the sony has gyro data for smoothing in gyroflow?

I love the Sony RX zero but in these kind of cases you have to pick near or far for focus. So It looks like you choose far which then I understand when you get close to the trees they look out of focus or blurry and that is understandable.

The Sony handled the dark areas better. GoPro is sharper and it’s a matter of look if you like it or not. I think the Sony does better but is it worth it?

Will you recommend the sony over the gopro for cinematic style shots on a cinelog35? Or are there better options?

Manual focus set to infinity. It stays there unless otherwise changed again.

That is my fault with color grading. You can also neutralize tint in the Picture Profile customization. See my more recent videos for more examples and info.

Have you tried any stabilizing tools like gyroflow with it?

I did try Gyroflow but it wasn't working probably because there is no profile yet for this lens and camera. I did try Catalyst browse and the stabilization had some jerks and also created the jello amplification effect that is seen with SteadXP. So only stabilization options right now are optical methods like premier warp stabilizer which works 75% of the time when flying cinematically, but also tends to wig out when objects are in the foreground.

I've watched like a dozen times and I'm really falling for the RX0ii. The motion is smoother but conveys more energy, the lens is wide but also tight up close to objects in passing, and something about it just looks more "film" and you can see this in comparing the two similar shots following alongside the roadway. I hate saying it but the Hero10 is wholly unremarkable in comparision. I was going to add that the Sony footage looks much more workable and potentially able to cut in with higher tier cameras easier, then I read your notes in the description regarding the easier color work and it all makes sense.
