This is seriously breathtaking footage. Gonna be working towards a setup with this camera

thank you. appreciate it! if you'd like to fly a rx0 setup just take a lens into account... the stock fov is most times too narrow for a fpv drone :)

There’s a ton you can do to make this footage superior to GoPro if you’re inclined to do so. Cam settings, post workflow etc. this camera is better than GP in every way except FOV. Good test!
@swoopyfpv4 жыл бұрын
agreed! still figuring out the best cam settings.. noticed some color banding problems so i'm now trying slog2/ITU709 instead of s-gamut ... seems like a lot some sony cameras "fake" the s-gamut... fov is the real problem, as a lot of fpv scenes are narrow, best choice for now is the mdl anamorphic. if you have any post tip's feel free to comment :) i'm also trying warp stabilizer which atm seems to work better than the catalyst option

@@swoopyfpv forget s-log. slog e s gamutt are for the 10bit cameras only. gofor HLG2 / cinema. i am using sony for the last 12 years.
@swoopyfpv3 жыл бұрын
@@marcolomiller i disagree - sure it's only 8bit & on a lot of sony cameras the s-gamut is only a reproduction equivalent of a s-gamut curve - but you can adjust the pp in camera or go with itu709 instead and still get a very good image with really good dynamic range

Hi, I found your question on gyrodata extractinh. Did you ever find a way to inject into other footage? I have a Sony a7II and a RX0ii ...

@@swoopyfpv oh man, would be cool
@swoopyfpv3 жыл бұрын
@@Achelon there is a tool to extract the gyro data from the rx0ii as a csv + i think you can merge video with csv files and then stabilize with gyroflow but i doubt this will work with catalyst (if you want to dig further just ask in the "FPV Stabilization Tools" Facebook Group)

I'm here from the stabilization fb page. I'm reading a lot of information but it's difficult to understand for a novice.i have a Sony a6000 could I stabilize the captured videos as well on that? Not prob ever gonna put it on a drone but I'm just curious
@SkyCandyVisuals4 жыл бұрын
Never mind I see the cam you used already has stabil software built in. I guess the a7II would work then it has built in image stabilization but that a lot of money to carry on a drone. Sheesh
@swoopyfpv4 жыл бұрын
as far as i know the a6000 does not record gyro data, so gyro stabilization via sony catalyst is not possible with the a6000 series.
@SuperSigma694 жыл бұрын
I think you shouldn't use a lens on top of the rx0 ii if you want to use post stabilization. Can you do more test without any lens (you mentioned you used a wide angle lens) on it?
@swoopyfpv4 жыл бұрын
in theory the lens should not make any difference as catalyst stabilizes with gyro data & not image data. for me the rx0 without lens is barley usable because of the focal length... if I got some time I might check without lens (if I do so, I'll upload on ig not yt because as mentioned for me it's not that relevant, so it'll be a short test only)

swoopyfpv Nice man! Do you think is as good as a gopro with reelsteady?
@swoopyfpv4 жыл бұрын
@@KoenSpaansen thx. nahh, it's not even close... it might be possible to get a better end result with a special mount (like the rs mounts for the session 5) soi would not rely on the gyro stabilization on the rx0 ii

@swoopfpv thanks man! i am looking for a lowlight camera to film in a dark studio... the rx0II is on that list. Its for a squirt...
@swoopyfpv4 жыл бұрын
@@KoenSpaansen ahh, low light is better than with a gopro, but it's not that great as the rx has a f4. also with the stock lens it's barley usable because of the 24mm focal lenght, in tight spaces it's even more difficult

i could notice a jello on your footage. and now that i got my setup completed i can see it in my footage to. it gets jello whem stabylized with the catalyst. shutter speed are at the right place. using around 7% of stab. i did not like the results of stab. and warp also not good.
