@@VicBarry you are very much welcome sir.. While i have you i actually have a question that i would like your opinion on. Im about to start filming content, and im gonna use the GoPro 11 and a DJI Mini 2 and an Iphone 14 Pro. Would you recommend me filming 5.3k or 4k with the GoPro? Im in doubt because i fear that filming 5.3k might make the image too different from the other cameras if that makes sense.. I dont want too much of an noticeable difference you know.. What do you think?

Sure. The resolution won’t make “that” much of a difference in how you describe but color profiles, sharpness etc absolutely will. Manual white balance across all cameras where possible (depends on the iPhone app you use) of 5500/5600 K. Same sharpness where possible. Etc. all depends on how much post work you want to do, to be honest. Select one master camera as it were and try and match from there. It’s not difficult but it’ll take a bit of work. However concentrate on telling a good story and not using multiple cameras just for the sake of it. Hope this helps 🙏

I've wondered why everyone seems to recommend low sharpness. I usually use high sharpness because I like my videos to look as crisp as possible while recording 4k. When I see a low sharpness video I think oh they recorded in 1080p. It seems more like a preference thing and not so much a rule.

Fair point - Absolutely it's a preference thing. However, a super sharpened image isn't that "filmic" - Granted, everybody does their own thing. What I would say though, is add sharpness in post if it's needed and don't leave the camera do it.

Hey Vic....just found your channel. Excellence mixed with a dose (a rather large dose) of humor. Have a question about the slow motion feature. I like the way you can toggle between slo motion and regular speed on the gopro, but when exported to a pc for post editing, will it transfer as a slo mo file or is that something that i will have to deal with in post editing...thanks, just became a subscriber by the way....

Hey Mark, thank you for subbing. For post production, it won't come out as a slow motion file, so for example, 4k 120 will have to be slowed down to around 20% on a 24fps time line. It might be another step, but it's only a click or two in the majority of cases software wise! Hope that helps

hey vic im loving the content.......im curious of your opinion....im going to Paris soon in September.....what would be the best GoPro video settings to create a great vlog for my mother and I.....I want the finished product to look HD/5kish ect to be played on a tv and maybe a iPhone ect and I dont really like alot of the "fuzziness" im seeing from alot of other KZbinrs gopro11 footage....any help and or details you can provide would help a ton as im going crazy thinking about all the specifics and dont wanna screw up the footage when I get there lol

Hhhhmmmm can you elaborate on fuzziness Dj - if it’s what I’m thinking you’ll see that in low light scenarios and not a lot can be done about that as GoPros are generally not great for video in low light

@@money011ot Right - to be honest, everything is in focus with the GoPro Hero 11, unless it's REALLY close to from the lens and even then..... If the videos you're looking at are pixelated etc it really sounds like either a rendering issue or an internet speed issue (youtube will adjust the resolution of the video dependent on your internet connection)

Hey Mairis, if there’s a substantial light shift then auto shutter is probably the best option. Use the 8:7 aspect ratio if you want some decent reframing options in post
