GoPro considers the waterproof case to be a major selling point - I drilled a hole (carefully) on mine but another option is buying the skeleton housing or frame housing with lens protector.

Drilling a hole to the correct size of the adapter actually leaves the housing still largely waterproof, as the adapter seals the hole. I originally had the GoPro adapter, but then changed to the more streamlined 90 degree styled aftermarket adapter. I adjusted the hole to accommodate the new adapter and the hole is now larger than the adapter. I've ridden in some heavy rain and water hasn't gotten in still

Nice - the hole I made is a close fit - but I plan on getting the Sena waterproof case for the gp10 to allow for rain Vlogs - how well does the aftermarket adapter work?

If you get one that works, exactly the same as the GoPro one

I definitely consider it a selling point but they should offer a swap out side section to the casing where you can remove it to access the side ports, paying $70 for plastic casing is a bit ridiculous I think. Especially when you are spending near on $700 for a camera and don't even get a remote with it now, half the helmet mounts you used to get and no cable to use the mic port. I will just drill it out though like I did with the old one, don't like the frame mount as it leaves the body exposed to dirt and debris.

pipboychronicles I just bought one recently myself, have heard of CCT issues on forums, usually shows up early in life, mine has about 1500km up now no issues, yet...
