Yes, it is possible. I have done it before based on a youtube video I cannot find now. We need some helpful guy who provide us the right sequence with a working Gopro.

@@raulprterra Trying to find a solution to you (about your comment on my video). Founded you here LOL.... It's gonna be ok. Take it easy. On this video, an option is "OFF". By following that sequence on clicking, can't you turn on? Have you tried this?

You can connect it to an external capture card to use it as a Webcam. I've been doing that recently

@@guidobertelli7337 I've not tried with another external source. So far I've been using an Avermedia Live Gamer Mini attached a laptop. The GoPro 7 & 8 will remotely connect to a phone to allow you to transmit live to Facebook and KZbin.(You need to connect via wifi/bluetooth and change the Gopro to Live mode)

hours... so many hours wasted, fumbling, swiping, changing finger, then giving up and using poor settings...... and then i find out i can do it from the front screen......> walks away head down
