Keeping the Hero 7 and having Go2 will give you the opportunity to have an action camera for pretty much any kind of condition. Cool choice!

Hey Abdullah, thanks for asking these questions. You can store couple of hours of recordings, depending on the bitrate and resolution. Around 28GB are usable. As for the editing options - yes, you can use the Android smartphone app to edit the videos.

Good review Michael, like usual, it's interesting because I think Insta has a better stabilisation and better low light footage, the microphone, it's sounds more natural on GoPro, I'm really impressed about Insta 360 go 2, I chose right, left, left , Insta needs an improved battery life.

Thanks for sharing! Yeah, would be nice to have better battery life, but with this scale and weight it's kind of hard to extract more. Still - the camera is a brilliant way to have a very portable pocket cam with you all the time. 👍🙂

Depends on the mode you shoot at. The regular video mode is normal .mp4 file. If you go for PRO mode - then yeah.

Thanks for this practical comparison video, Mihail. Obviously the GoPro has better picture quality, especially in low light, but the Insta 360 is "good enough" and would be really useful for doing unobtrusive POV video. I think the convenience of it outweighs its shortcomings.

I believe the low light quality is better with Insta360's device - and it is mostly due to the size of the GoPro sensor and the pixel density.

Both have used the automatic settings. GoPro has been recording with Flat color more and I've added some extra contrast, sharpening and saturation.

I chose Gopro...better HDR, colors and texture. But...i was surprised that flowstate seems way better than hypersmooth. Who would have thought It? Another great video.

If the video was sponsored - that was about to be disclosed. I didn't get any jello problem - and have tested a lot of different scenarios with it. Might be that jello is available if you attach to something with strong vibrations, but I don't find it reasonable to mount to a drone for instance. So what are you implying? That the samples are fake?

R6 - left R7 - left R8 - I don't know... they both show tearing on the tiles for example... Maybe the left one was slightly better again. I'm quite surprised... R12 - GoPro surprisingly... but if it requires this stupid proprietary adaptor like previous models, does it even count as supporting an external mic? Soo it's like 9 to 5 for the Insta 360! Damn

Yeah, I was also very surprised. After this test, as well as the Mi 11 Ultra vs Oneplus 9 Pro - the lesson learned is that videos have to be rated after we watch them side by side. Sometimes different displays can trick you.

Great , Insta is winner for me , I hesitate with osmo Action which is close too. Price is the difference. Osmo is only 210 euro vs 320 for Insta Go2.

The Osmo is always a great choice, especially if you need 4K. In most other cases - the Insta360 Go 2 is a perfect choice.

WOW! it's the first comparison 1vs1 that I see and honestly I had no idea at first which of the sides is which camera... the quality is about the same even though one of them is 5k and the other is 2k, BUT! there is a difference in colors and there was a lens flare on the right one at the daylight footage... my guess it's the GoPro, in anyways I like both though the one on the right, whichever it is, seems to be somewhat more accurate with colors but nothing significant I think. So, now writing this sentence I've got to the part of the reveal! ha! I was right... though at the stabilization comparison footage I got somewhat confused, the colors were somewhat better here on the left and the had both lens flare... wow... regarding sound, though the GoPro has better sound I think, Insta isn't too bad and it manages it with 1!!! Mic! so that's not fair lol... But.... which one would you rather take on some extreme sports where the camera might find itself hitting the ground? I think in this case a GoPro would win, I think that it's still more durable if it falls and being an action camera it is an important feature for many I guess

Finally someone noticing the flare!! I don't see GoPro being dethroned from being the best choice for extreme sports - just because it can record longer videos in much more extreme situations. But I see the Go2 as a brilliant alternative in some situations where GoPro is more difficult to mount.

can the go 2 be powered by a external battery pack and still be 100% waterproof? NO. Can the go 2 record 2.7k with flowrate more than +6 hours continuosly? No. So no go to go 2. Go 2 is a toy.

In the similar sense - can you recharge the Go Pro battery without losing the waterproofness? No, you can't. Can it record 6+ hours video in 5K without overheating? I doubt... Can you control GoPro with a remote? Yeah, just pay another 80 bucks... Even if it's a toy - one of the best ever toys I've seen. And don't get me wrong - I am overall a GoPro fanboy!
