I couldn't do the job firefighters do. I just don't think I could go up to a burning anything knowing that there are people or animals trapped inside. Some of the horrors that they see, wow. Mass respect for anyone who answers the call, my cousin included. Stay safe out there.

I recently went on a giant 4 alarm fire. I’m a tiller man, my buddy Sully is what we call him, he drives the truck part of the tiller, There was 4 tillers from 1 in our city, 10 engines 3 medics and 5 tower ladders 1 quint and 2 Rescue, one is “THE RESCUE WAGON” Which is rescue 1, famous rescue in my city, they were first on scene. Rescue 4 is what some would consider a squad, flames coming out to the roof and then it collapsed and a tire in rescue 1 exploded, Rescue one is in the shop, my tillers ladder was indulged with smoke and some of you probably seen the horrendous video of the fire fighters on a ladder that get smoked by smoke. That happend, minus the fire fighters on it, I lost visibility of the ladder and ended up smacking a building with it

Yeah, ride comfort for the rider doesn't seem to be a high priority for manufacturers. Could easily have made that cab air ride with a air cushioned seat to reduce fatigue and injuries later in life. If anyone deserves to be taken care of it's the ones saving our life!

1:14 I hope you had view of the direction that had a green light and that there was either no traffic or traffic saw you and stopped. If not, you got extremely lucky going full speed through the red light. While you do have the right of way with lights and sirens it’s important to use due regard when breaking traffic laws.

No real reason unless there is traffic. Plus, its in the dead of night. Would you like to be woken up by a truck going by with a peaked Q and blasting airhorns or be left to sleep with the truck going by with just reds and a bip of the airhorn or quick whirr of the siren to warn the little traffic that might be out?

No traffic + Night + Not at intersection = No siren Traffic + Night = Minimal use to move traffic Night + Intersection w/ no traffic = No siren Night + Intersection W/traffic = Minimal to stop/move traffic It sucks and if you break it, city council/code enforcement - not PD - gives noise ordinance citation to all personnel assigned to apparatus.
