Can this be mounted onto any rig with a cold shoe or does it have to be a GoPro specific accessory? I have a small rig and it's not clicking onto the cold shoe properly It's loose and it will come off easily

It's supposed to be a 'standard' cold shoe mount. It works fine on my Canon DSLR and my Sony mirrorless camera, but it is loose when I mount it to my Canon Camcorder. so I guess it just depends on the shoe mount you are using. If it is loose, a bit of masking tape on the bottom to take up the slack works.

Connect? No connection here, it’s just a light. Just push the power button.

@@DJMeku Does not 'sync' because it is not a flash. It is a video light that stays illuminated for as long as it is turned on so will add light to both videos and still photos.

This light can be used on ANY camera that has a shoe mount. For GoPro cameras you’ll need a Media Mod case that has the built in shoe. They make Media Mod cases for GoPro Hero 8, 9, 10, and 11.

Yes, you attach it to the Hero 12 using the Media Mod case.

Yes I do. You can buy cheaper, brighter lights but they tend to be bigger. I really love the compact size of this unit. It is the perfect 'fill light' and takes up hardly any space in my kit when I'm hitting the trails on a backpacking journey.

Ya, I agree it is kinda weak, but don’t think of it as a ‘floodlight’, think of it as a ‘fill light’
