Most people wouldn't want to just kill a bear. If it was attacking anyone would. Those animals are dangerous. They can't be trusted. I have a friend that an uncle had two children eaten by a grizzly. I wpuld kill a bear in a heart beat if it came after me.

“Never forget he is a grizzly bear” this quote instantly made him wiser than most animal rescue/trainers out there. He understands that at heart bears are dominant beasts. But it’s nice to see the gentle side of bears too.
@mnomadvfx3 жыл бұрын
You're an idiot if you think any half trained rescue person who deals with large predators doesn't know this. Those who don't won't live very long lives. It's not even about them being 'dominant beasts', or even apex predators - it's sheer size and weight. A bear could be as meek as you please and aim for nothing more than a friendly swat to the back in playful behavior - but it could still snap a grown mans neck like a twig where it would merely jostle another bear of the same size due to their thicker bones and impact absorbing fat + muscle tissue. The bear enthusiast Timothy Treadwell (documented in Werner Herzog's film Grizzly Man) died despite years unscathed working around bears because he came across bears that were starving after a long winter with almost no food - if that happens it doesn't matter how well you respect their size and power, they will still kill you unless you have a lot of backup willing to put the bears down (tranqs on a bear do not work that quickly unless you get them in exactly the right spot).

There's a very big difference between running a rescue operation for "damaged" bears, a difference between that and some dummy going into the wilds to "befriend" wild creatures. This is the first time I have every heard anyone "in the business" of wildlife speak so eloquently about the true nature of bears. After many years observing bears in the wilds of Alaska, I too understand bears as "gentle souls" -- or as I say "peace-lovers at heart". Excellent piece. Clearly Casey Anderson has it together.

It's the rivers, lakes, mountains and all beautiful places. You just need to be willing to go past the barriers and the tough places that no one is willing to go to. So just think of all of the things that your home country has and think. 'I want to keep it like that'. Their used to be a koala that our family called Kevin in a small place called Korweinguboora. Casey knows the golden rule...when you are paling around with a potentially dangerous wild animal, never, not even for one split second, is the human in control of the situation. The Bear is ALWAYS in control. Brutus knows that, but more importantly, so does Casey. The videos I've seen of Bears attacking their trainers have all occurred from a situation in which the trainer allowed themselves to believe they were actually the ones in charge, and are trying to make the Bear do something they clearly weren't comfortable doing. I truly don't believe Brutus will ever 'turn' on Casey, because Casey would never be stupid enough to try to assert control over him. I mean honestly, how stupid would a person have to be to think they could actually boss around a Grizzly Bear!

Yung TedBounty That too....I do not claim to be any kind of expert regarding how to behave around wild animals, but I get the impression that Casey is smarter about it than others who have been attacked by wild animals who have 'turned'. Like Casey once said "Brutus is the boss, he dictates his life"

Nah I'm been following this guy for a longer run the bear truly likes him and his natural habbits aren't active I mean other guys wrestle around with the bears and shit Brutus is not Casey knows what he is doing and Brutus respects him look at The lion whisperer Lions are far more dangerous then bears cause they are alot faster then a grizzly and look at Kevin he is perfectly fine and he is doing it for a very long time

I like how people think wild animals are just as valuable as our own species. Your a part of the human race and it is your entire biological purpose to protect and prioritize it. Animals are worthy of life too and should only be hunted for food just as any other predator on Earth would do. Humans are a unique species that has a consciousness driven to reject nature and their own impulses. Humans have the capability to question their own existence and think of themselves as an individual. Each human is so unique that in an individualist perspective should be perceived as valuable despite our numbers. It is easily possible to protect animal rights without giving them the same moral standards as humans. Moral standards must also be met with a reciprocal. Most animals do not have the empathy to return such moral values in a mutual trust. It is our job to limit the damage we do, but our species is still the ultimate byproduct of billions of years of evolution.
@notbryan59526 жыл бұрын
Merkel's Fourth Reich You’re right in a way but as the smartest species it’s our job to be smart. We can’t just take for granted other species who didn’t evolve as much as we did. For some people we’re not different because of the statistical odds of even being around. Certain bear were granted life, same as certain humans. Let’s not forget that without other creatures, humans wouldn’t survive. Also, just because we can think about something that is almost certainly useless, such as computations or internal thought, they are only important to us. It doesn’t matter in the long run, and doesn’t make us anymore important. They got life and we have taken full advantage of the resources just because we are smarter. Undoubtedly we need to be more mindful and realize we’re sharing the same planet. Not just humans dominating it because we’re smarter.

Gray Fullbuster lmao let me correct myself then ... all WILD life on this planet should be protected. Animals (chicken, cattle, fish) raised in farms to be consumed are ok in my book because they are not endangered or even close to that and they are bred in extreme numbers to the point where they are overpopulated. Wild life that's easily impacted by human activity should definitely protected.
@rahulkochar55778 жыл бұрын
Gray Fullbuster hunting or endangering wild life that is already on the decline is big no no. I myself promote and volunteer some time for Tiger conservation because as it is now, we won't have anymore in 10-15 years. And no I'm not vegan, I don't believe in veganism. I see how my original comment is hypocritical in that regard. But I'm for a balanced omnivorous diet. Just like we've been doing for the past million years.

Well if u keep ur own chicken and actually kill it urself then u got my respect. But most likely u buy 500 Grams of chicken for 99 ct and expect it to have lived a somewhat decent life. Sad. Feel free to disagree :)
@rahulkochar55778 жыл бұрын
Gray Fullbuster I live in NYC so yes sadly I can't have a farm of animals to kill and eat myself. And yes I do go to shoprite and buy common man chicken. But I still hold my opinion that all life is precious. I wouldn't hold it against a lion or shark if they tried to eat me if I was in their territory. That's how life works, a lot of animals eat other animals. Circle of life my friend.

No a real human is a creature that can think, learn and problem solving to understand how to self better. He is a human and so are most of the humans. We survived because of our ability to learn, unlike other animals that have the advantage of genetic advancement. We haven’t evolved, infact the world has pushed us down, making us weaker. Clearly the world doesn’t like us, but because of our mental development we no longer needed the world’s support. But we still need the world. Truly our real enemy is other types of humans.
@ultimatechojian11596 жыл бұрын
But again because of our ability to learn we developed the knowledge to understand that alliance is the answer to survive. We found this after the devastation of World War Two it was a nightmare for humans, but it was also the time of our most advancement, the time to understand the other of our kinds. It made us stronger, and understood that we no longer needed war. Of course there are people who are very stupid, and that disappoints me. I speak for the human race.

Beautiful brown bear! Good on you for saving him! Had a visit with a Grizzly myself about 40 years ago. A bunch of us, all in our early 20's, went camping up at a place called Two Lakes in northwest Alberta Canada. I've always been a lover of the early morning and so at 5:45 was the only up and was starting the fire for coffee. As all outdoor people know, it tastes the best over a fire! I was bent over the firepit with my back to the picnic tables. I had got that 'hair standing on the back of your neck' feeling and turned around to see a huge sow brown bear on the other side of the picnic table just staring at me. She was huge! Both front paws were on the table top. I froze! Just stood exactly where I was and started to sing real quietly. My grandfather always sang to the animals, wild or domestic. It worked! She shook her huge hairy head a couple times. Grunted once or twice, I like to think she sang a chord or two, haha, then she backed off the table, looked at me one more time and walked back into the willows by the river. I know, had she meant to hurt me me, I wouldn't be here to tell my story. I have never been that close to a brown bear since, but have certainly lost a few calves, foals and the odd dog to them or cougars. Regardless how loving and calm they may appear, they are wild and will defend to the death of you! if you don't respect them!
