Thanks, it's mostly personal preference but I like it on the right side so that the throttle is in view.

I have an hjc is max as well. Did you try to mount on top? And with mount on side, is the weight or drag of any consequence to your neck on long rides? thx

I think it looks goofy on top. When it was on the side I did feel it twist my head when I got up to highway speeds. I now have it on the chin and it is much better there.

How did you do the chin mount?...with glue on bracket or strapped to the chin guard?

+paul buschman I used one of the curved sticky bases that come with the attachments. Just stuck it right on the black part under the vent in the front.
