I had never heard of these 'stands' before. What a superb design. The simplest ones are often the best. My Z axis is set to up. You can change it under Preferences > General > Default Modelling Orientation.

It's a very handy design. I'm constantly using this stand with my gopro. I mostly design with my z-up but decided to keep the default y-up for my tutorials because that's usually how people just getting started will have it and I wanted to keep things simple for the tutorials. I'm still debating this choice. Y-up is definitely not a good choice if you're going to 3d print. I wish Fusion would just make z-up as default.

I too prefer Z-up to be the default. But, it's not a big deal for me. However, it could be for newbies I guess.
