I wonder if any young people watching this, knows that a version of this was popular a hundred years ago. On the west coast, loggers built what was known as " Log Flumes". A very long, sometimes several miles in length, "V" shaped, water slide. There were special boats to ride the flume so as to check for repair. As you drive up Hiway 14 , in Washington state, ( though now in ruin) you can still see a few of them. What a lot of fun!

Have you every seen a martial artist break a thick piece of wood? The reason they can do that is cause of explosive speed, if they tried to punch it slowly and hard it wouldn't break. They were able to reclaim the footage, so at least it didn’t get lost. If it survived the hit fully functional is another question but these GoPros are sturdy little things and survive a lot of being thrown around. The usual way they die is if there’s a sharp object hitting the lenses directly, otherwise they often survive big crashes.
