Hey guys! This is my current plan going into 3.24 Necropolis league, it looks REALLY good on paper, and from my test run on standard. I'm excited to play this and I think the new Archmage will be very strong.

Last league's starter build was so good I'll use your build this league also. Question about the PoB: why do you have a +200% elemental resistance as a custom modifier? This is incredibly big and I have no idea where it could come from. Something tied to the new league mechanic? Edit: I guess it's just resistances you need to put on your gear yourself as he has none on gear in PoB.

Hard to say, but I think armor would be slightly better for bossing, evasion is nice for mapping though.

This should be a decent all-around build, so I would say just farm what you like. I think it can boss fine with good gear and will be good for completing atlas.

If only you had an extra jewel socket and a little more spell suppression. Then you could run a militant faith, where you have the ancestral vision for the tried and tested unnatural + militant faith combo in the scion area.

Are those unique rings and jewels expensive in early SC trade league? Also, how far can this build go in the high end in terms of damage?

some of the jewels will be, unnatural instinct in particular is, the rings are cheap though

ring, amulet, weapon and helmet are like 1-5c in the first day of the league. 2 days later, maybe the weapon will still hold 2c. The expensive part is getting good rare gear with suppress damage + high life and mana rolls, I guess... It's a little heavy on the hardware and it's ok for endgame

I was trying to figure out how to work in trinity (my plan is to use firestorm of pelting), and I think if I use 2 trinitys (like have one on a frostblink of wintery and one on the firestorm) I should be able to keep up trinity since I'll be using frostblink when I have all 12 storms down on bosses as well as using it to just move around the map.

I'm curious, why is everyone skipping/avoiding and not even mentioning Indigon? Is it the mana cost or the uncertainty where it drops (uber/normal) and how expensive it's going to be? Never played the Archmage/Hiero setup (even back in the days when Archmage released) but played Akane's Indigon Miner a few times and the Enduring Mana flask + Indigon Reg felt just too good.

In this instance, Goratha makes tanky builds. As he said in the videdo Mindspiral is worth almost 2k ES alone and its a huge defensive piece. Replacing it for damage is what other build creators would do. In addition, everything you mentioned is also unknown at the moment - its uncertain where it will drop, and its certainly going to be expensive with how popular mana stacking is looking. You also add the difficulty of having to manage timings/cost etc. There are plenty of content creators who are a lot less thoughtful than Goratha that are just throwing it in to inflate their pob's.

Can you explain one tiny thing for me, I was testing the Act 10 stuff tonight just to check out the build. On the pob you have frost shield socketed alone, in the clip of you fighting Drox, when you cast sigil of power it also automatically cast frost shield and I didnt see you switch bars or do anything else to cast it, how did the frost shield cast in that clip?

The arcanist brand is on frostbolt, not the ice nova, the frostbolts are just for you to cast ice nova on.

you can use brands behind walls and ice nova from out of line of sight, which should make it good for sanctum - ubers i'm not sure yet but it will be tanky enough to tank uber shaper slam / sirus meteor

Mostly should work for other archmage builds, but it really depends on which skill exactly, for example Storm Burst or Firestorm would want duration nodes.

No need to convert it, you just get both types. Which is also good because you can chill/freeze with cold damage.

@@GOBLIN_o dude, I did the exact same thing. But if you get the Kitava's thirst helmet, and make sure INOFB skill is more than 100 mana, it works just as well. The only thing is u can't get the evasion to spell suppression bonus anymore because that helm doesn't have evasion. If you even care for that

uhm did u just forget to get EE ?? other than that nice idea, i was thinking of a skill for mana stacking thats not ballightning and benefits from aoe but my brain didnt come up with frostnova somehow xdd also i would stronly recommend if u take on of the es/armour masterys to take the other one too, the 10%armour applys to chaos damage and the 10%phys taken as chaos. also maybe the evasion mastery for 15%spell supp, you could use that for magebane or even use both if your gear dosnt have as much spell supp (specially before you have the endgame gear) cheers.
