If they announce cast when damage taken I’ll play Infernalist. Can do cast on ignite and then spam abilities to reach max infernal flame to trigger the cast when damage taken. If that’s not a thing might play the blood mage or Chayula monk.

Also, there is that gem that removes life from your minion to give you spell dmg. Making the hybrid gameplay even more interesting

I had a similar analysis. I think u'll need some dmg mitigation especially max fire res, leech, recoup etc but the dmg output seems very easy scalable. Can't wait to see the other ascendency nodes, because all four presented are very strong already and I think you'll have to make difficult decisions.

My plan will be to start a witch hunter. The grenades, cull mechanic, which apparently can be increased on the skill tree, magic/spell protection seem really cool and I love the aesthetics as well. My next character will probably be the warbringer that uses totems and no CDR on warcries seems really crazy especially if there are warcry skill trees.Definitely looking forward to PoE2 :)

Same I was either thinking Infernalist with minions and a fire spell to trigger srs or the not so safe bet was some kinda monk, maybe try out the new flicker strike because I'm a flicker addict.

Ignite builds are one of my favourites, definetley going infernalist as well. Flameblast is in the game, and at max stages it's 2000% damage effectiveness (pretty sure demon form also gives cast speed so some nice QoL baked in hopefully) Frostfire as a support, 100% ignite effect on frozen enemies - paired with a unique staff "The Endless Night," which reads "Enemies chilled by you have no elemental resistances." Even if I can't get my hands on it, i'll still be doing a weapon swap freeze angle to benefit frostfire. They said you can only have one support gem per "character" so I'll probably have ignite prolif on a clearing skill Already the cons with flameblast I'm thinking of is channeling and your infernal pool spilling over - missing your ignite magnitudes could be very clunky. If it works out I'll try out a crit angle and see how scaling that goes for ignite. Hopefully the ascendancy from what was shown isnt limited to minions for the rest, not too keen on them. SRS on fire spell could have synergies with "gain life/life regen/etc. on minion death," if it's in the game Unless there's some detonate minion build I'm not sure how ignite and minions synergies really, the archetype seems cool but mechanically I don't imagine minions as having massive hits

I have no idea on what I will play. Maybe something with warcries, a quick weapon to stagger enemies into a big slam with multiple warcries Or a deadeye with Crossbows, the different ammos looks so fun Or a mage with lightning damage, they look so beautiful
