I remeber we used to rent your VHS tapes as a kid! I think one of my favorites was the big muley buck that was filmed outside of Dubois . It was cool to see him progress through his years!

Oh boy, do I ever remember so fondly of seeing your dad personally narrate his films. I think it was the only time I sat still and listened to anybody. I got to see Challenging the NWT and HW&F. I was just a kid, but it had a huge impact on me. I still watch his films on vhs and dvd several times a year. But I never got to hunt Stones sheep, dang it!

Hey Mike. Sorry I missed this video when you put it out 2 weeks ago but here I am now watching it and getting all Nostalgic because I saw the Original video when your Father put it out years ago. Love it and Thanks Again for it. As I mentioned once before, I used to call your Mom to order Gordon's videos. I enjoyed talking to her and she told me your Dad was away doing something most of the time. I think she might have been happy to talk to me when I ordered those videos. Stay Well. Tommy

Beautiful ram. I watched alot of Gordon s movies when i was young. I ended up becoming a guide for 25 seasons in the 7 Yukon for MacMillan River Outfitters and 18 for MacKenzie Mt outfitters. I have the ram in my pic on video. It's the largest taken out of the MacKenzie s. It scored 178 4/8 in 2005. I should put it on here. I won a buckel for it. MacKenzie Mt s are the best in my mind.

These old videos are wonderful. Those were the glory days now a hunt is $100,000.00 which is pure insanity and impossible to justify

Mike, Your entire family has been blessed with some incredible adventures. Thank you for sharing each and everyone of these. Did your dad ever know Jack O’Connor? If so, did they ever hunt together?
@BlazedTrailsForgotten

My dad hunted Rock Cucks with Jack and as a kid I would go along with them and Jack. Also in one of the Blaze Trails episodes about hunting Alaska in 1957 I show photos when they got back and Jack measured the trophies for B&C.It's in that episode.

Best wildlife films ever made, they could not be duplicated in this day and age. The footage he took really is so important because it is a snapshot in time. North of the Sun is my favorite for that specific reason. I hate to say it but we are very lucky it was recorded when it was, before that self sustaining way of life was replaced by essentially socialism and government handouts.

Cool video! I thought you had to have a $10,000 gun - $1,000 backpack and $3,000 worth of clothes to get a sheep of that caliber?? But, things were a bit different back then, thx for sharing,

This is my favourite Gordon Eastman film! As a British Columbian, I am jealous of the places he was able to hunt in my home province, that I have not yet seen. One question, what rifle and caliber did your dad use?
