I love that Gordon has a genuine interest in learning, he goes in open minded despite being an acclaimed chef to truly learn how different cultures make food. That makes him a true master chef and not just a 'celebrity' chef. He learns the authentic way to do things and actually gets his hands/and feet dirty and puts his ego aside to learn. I really love Gordon.

true. this is a fantastic and likeable trait. Other chefs go to school and call it a day and assume they're the preeminent experts in anything and everything. This open-mindedness echoes the mentality of Bourdain which I absolutely support.

@@pastense it is. I think you misunderstood me. Personally i like Bourdain a lot better and he was an amazing human being that I would’ve loved to know. Gordon is the better chef though if we’re basing it on accolade’s Bourdain would happily admit that i think he might’ve when he visited gordons restaurant when he was in his prime. Bourdains purpose and influence transcended such things and i dont think he even intended it to be that way which is truly amazing

I went to Maui on a solo vacation and I will let you know the food I got was the best food I ever ate. I don’t even like fish and the whole week I was there I did nothing but eat fish. I had fish Benedict!!! I still dream about it. Nothing like sitting beach side sipping an amazing cocktail and fish Benedict. Pure bliss. I totally recommend farm to table experience if you can! The food amazing yet again. Savory, delicious, I believe I found it on Airbnb experiences. I would seriously go back just for the fish, alongside that the place is just amazingly beautiful. The flight time- horrible, the gas prices insane and the fact I agree we are pushing the natives out (I’m sorry 😭) still, it was a beautifully moving experience. I will say lastly though, the more you are in the thick of it outside tourism - the smaller and smaller the roads get lol. I will never forget going through the winding roads, only the size of one car easily on a 2 lane road!!!!!

You obviously did your homework and research! Because of it's history and the location, it's considered to be the purest part of the island, mostly inhabited by locals and almost untouched by greedy outside developers.
