I think his approach to cooking at home is be easier on yourself and use whatever you have in your pantry or whatever you can afford. He believes that cooking at home should be more simple and not trying to put your entire ego into a dish. Yeah there have been videos where he has expensive ingredients, but he typically uses those for special occasions instead of, say, a weeknight dinner with a glass of boxed rose.

It was easier for the astronauts that just launched to the ISS to fly there than it is for you to drive to the store for example. Now, years have passed and so has he .What do I have?
