I think his approach to cooking at home is be easier on yourself and use whatever you have in your pantry or whatever you can afford. He believes that cooking at home should be more simple and not trying to put your entire ego into a dish. Yeah there have been videos where he has expensive ingredients, but he typically uses those for special occasions instead of, say, a weeknight dinner with a glass of boxed rose.

This is a pretty old video. All the kids are grown up now. Haha. Meg (the first daughter in the video) is 14 here, and she's 22 now. But yes, he's definitely aging slowly. I absolutely adore their family.
