I agree this is too liquidy. I always skip the crème fraiche in my eggs. But if ur scrambled eggs aren’t viscous then they are most certainly over cooked and not nearly as good as they should be. Every restaurant and house I’ve ever been to overcooks eggs and I’m convinced it’s why people who don’t like eggs don’t like eggs. People also waste their time mixing eggs up in a bowl to scramble them which is not only a waste of time but does absolutely nothing. Just mix them in the pan with a little butter constantly mixing on med heat (preheated pan) and they will cook in like 60 seconds.

@@timrounse5186 Whisking your eggs give them a smoother texture and overall consistency. It also allows you to mix in milk an melted butter thoroughly but imo it does much for the egg. Otherwise cooks wouldn't of picked up on it. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

@@dominicballinger6536 you can add a bit of milk if you want then to be creamier and cook on low for longer while stirring frequently . There’s literally no reason to add that much butter into eggs unless you just like needlessly adding a few hundred calories

It is not Gordon’s ‘super secret technique’. It is a French technique. Gordon is classically trained. He just makes ‘cream style eggs’, a French dish. He did not invent the take it off the heat’ thing.

Exactly. I have been doing that for a long time. My late mother used to cook some of the best scrambled eggs. I know it gets a bad rap, but she used Accent. I didn't understand what that was until I got older. 🙂

I've never had dry scrambled eggs in my life. The way I've been taught, or rather how I copied my mom and my late grandpa, was to just use a little bit of butter (because they didn't have non-stick pans when grandpa was young), medium heat and just stir when needed. Of course the higher the heat, the more often you needed to stir. If you wanted to be a little fancy you added just a tiny bit of cream (mom did this for me a lot).

No not really Only if youre an american or a human that lives unhealthy i promise you if you live healthy that much butter will make you feel sick. Same with meat If youre used to it you will love it every day But if youre not used to it because you actually watch at your meals You dosnt will like meat anymore as much. Unfortunely american have only unhealthy food most of the times thats why most americans eat like that. try to open a restaurant with that cooking style in europe and you will shut it down in 2 month.

You know there is a happy halfway compromise solution. It is kinda hard to achieve, but I have done it multiple times. I cut the fat in half, and stir it for a little longer. Do it and thank me later it is really good.

The way I do it; I crack 3 eggs in a bowl and slightly wisk them loose. I add a tablespoon of ricotta cheese and some salt and pepper to the mix. Then just put them in a pan on medium heat and make sure you keep stirring without over cooking, if it goes to fast remove the pan for a few seconds... when it is almost cooked I add another spoon of Ricotta and mix it through.. no need for butter it will be nice and creamy

Not raw, you cook them longer than you would normally, it's just the moisture and the fact you constantly stir they never get chance to set firmly. You're basically tempering them until they come up to done temp.

The reason for the on and off is so you can be preparing other things like the toast at the same time. Eggs prepared this way get cold quick, especially if you add the cream at the end to prevent overcooking, so everything else needs to be hot and ready by the time you're finished. Plus, taking it off the heat regularly is a good way to be checking whether you've reached a good consistency that will be able to finish cooking itself over the next few seconds.

The Brie did that too. It’s a ridiculously creamy texture of cheese that somehow is less fatty and sometimes lactose heavy as cheddar. Personally, I hate the taste of it (bland and gooey). This would be of the few times I would find Gordon Ramsey’s food atrocious. The other was his grilled cheese. Those eggs would taste like buttery chives with a hint of yolk. That’s why a spread on bread is needed. I guess he struggles with simple comfort food which is hilarious to think about. Like a regular dad struggling to feed his kids in a hurry.

The lower the heat the more time the pan neends to be on the heat. Gordon does it high heat because it's more tine efficient.

This ain’t raw at all. It’s the butter and the sour cream that doesn’t let the egg get solid. It’s my favourites egg since I made them once. And my Girlfriend favourite egg breakfast since I showed it to her. Maybe doesn’t look that good to you, but they look very delicious to me and after trying it I can confirm they are actually a 10 out of 10! But the haters will hate

You don't have to, just cook it on medium or medium low heat and take it off the heat slightly before it seems like it's fully cooked. It'll come out just like this

​@@sonicartzldesignerclan5763I recently tried modifying a cake recipe to make my own little invention and somehow the cake came out a color that was a cross between purple, gray, and green. Most disturbing looking cake ever lol. Don't use homemade raspberry syrup in a cake- just use a compote or something because putting that syrup into the cake made it into an abomination that barely even tasted of raspberries LOL. I had to brush the leftover syrup on it to get any actual raspberry flavor. Although it turned out it was sort of a happy accident because the cake became incredibly moist after the syrup brush so I guess now I have a recipe for a very moist raspberry cake

Since i discovered Gordon's scrambled eggs I make only this way, but on lower heat and much much longer. It's pure yellow and creamy, but not soupy like here. Try it guys out.

They can eat raw eggs there because they inoculate their chicken for salmonella. You can’t eat American eggs because the food poisoning risk is much higher here.

So true! I used to be one of those people who thought runny, wet eggs were not appetizing. But once I tried them in this style and tried French omelette, I realized how much we overcook our eggs. You haven’t truly experienced the beauty of eggs until you’ve had the silky, velvety version. 😊

I've had my eggs in-between cooked and silky velvety at times... And they tasted GOODT😂! Along with the butter or oil used to keep the eggs from sticking to the pan. A good touch and slide down the gut if you will😆.

The cream definitely adds to the eggs, even if it is a little goofy at the end. But instead of moving on and off the heat, go until they're almost done to liking and then add the cream and even cheese if you like.

It doesn't actually have a snotty texture. It's more like the texture of a cream or custard. It's not slimy since technically all of it is cooked despite being runny.

Ramsay’s scrambled eggs recipe is honestly the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever tasted, no joke. We don’t even have creme fraiche here so had to skip it but it was still so delicious and creamy even if Ramsay said that makes the difference. Only negative for me is have to use a lot of eggs per recipe. First time I tried it, used 6 eggs as the recipe called for and it yielded a small amount good for only 2 people :(
