Gordon was in Baltimore a few weeks ago at Gordon Ramsay Steak at the Horseshoe Casino to surprise some culinary students as well as give a NFL Star, who's also a Super Bowl Winner, Baltimore Raven Sam Koch a lesson in how to make the perfect Ribeye. And get ready for next week when Sam gives Gordon a lesson.....

One thing I’ve noticed when it comes to a chef showing/teaching an athlete vs a comedian or someone along those lines is this...The athlete actually listens and tries to do their best with what they’re being shown. Their dedication to their own trade reflects in the respect that they give the “coach” being the chef.

In case anybody was wondering, as long as you prep the ingredients ahead of time: yes, you can in fact follow along with this recipe in realtime and your ribeye will be perfect. I made my first ever by following directly along with this video, and it tasted and felt professionally cooked.

I seriously thought this was my own technique 😉. Guess not! Brilliant! This is the best and most delicious way to season and pan cook a steak, especially with the thyme, searing the fatty side and basting religiously throughout the entire process is an absolute must! You cook your steak like this and you will pleasantly please every one of your dinner guests belly. That's a promise!

Gordon forgot to mention that you must allow if you are in a rush at least an hour for the meat to sweat so the seasoning can soak into the meat. They did a fine job but didn't explain why more seasoning. The reason is you lose 65-60 percent in the seasoning once you lay it on the skillet. If you let it rest in the fridge over night? You will take each bite like heaven. Allow time for the season to work its magic but that was a big concern about this video from Gordon. Just because he is famous doesn't mean he isn't half ass doing these videos. Sadly i seen his work lower through the years. He was actually the person who taught me how to cook (youtube that is) i love Gordon sadly it hurts to see things that i know should have been done.

It’s impossible, his cooking skills are so powerful that no mere mortal can comprehend his abilities. He may just look like a pretty decent professional chef, but he is only utilizing around 3% of his power. The last time he used all 100% of his power, they say the food was so good people were imploding from the taste. That was hundred of years ago, and no doubt has his power tripled since then.
